Hi guys,
I am very distressed because of this situation.
yesterday around 6pm pacific time I withdrew some bitcoins into my SR wallet. Now 18 hours later I still dont have 1 confirm, and money has not reached my account?
Anyknow know what the fuck is happened here or how to make the coins transfer over properly? Bitcoin transfer failure.. Fuck this sucks!
-
I guess first I'd double check to make sure the bitcoin address you're sending to is accurate. Did you do a copy and paste? And also did you generate a new bitcoin address through SR before you tried to transfer the bitcoins? I believe the transfer would work if you didn't generate a new address, but they say it's always best to generate a new bitcoin address every time you try to put bitcoins into SR.
They say wait 24 hours before contacting support on such an issue so your next step after double checking everything for accuracy is to reach out to the SR support team and ask for their help in looking into your transaction. Perhaps it just got hung up on the blockchain somehow. It's technology so glitches happen. I hope you get it figured out!
-
Usually we say 12 hours then contact support. I would say put in a ticket now so someone could help you.
-
Where did you send the coins from?
Like cirrus said though, please open a ticket on the market site and have them take a look.
-
thhanks for responding to my pleas for help in this pitiable shit-fucked situation!
Yep double checked the alpha numero address, and it is correct in btc client and SR wallet, but didn't change it, as you say i should do.
Ive sent in a support ticket, hopefully they can help me sort it out somehow.

check out blockchain
http://blockchain.info/
Cut and paste your destination address into the search option and see if there have been any transactions to that address. Hope this helps.
-
I'm not really sure what I'm reading on that blockchain page. I'm not sure but it looks like there's ALOT of bitcoin moving around on there, but I dont think those are all my transactions.
It also looks like there are a couple of small transactions that didnt go through, adding up to aroun .35 BTC, but no transaction for the amount I sent yesterday.
-
Copy and paste the BTC address you sent the coins to into where is says search, that should bring up a list of all BTC transactions associated with that address, the most current one should be the one in question, next to it it will say how many confirmations the transfer has had.
-
like I said, there was nothing there for my last transaction on the blockchain, which is consistent with my bitcoin wallet displaying 0 confirms.
One thing that concerns me is there appears to be some larger transfers on that chain that are definately not mine.
I wish I knew what the fuck was going on here.

Sorry then mate I can't help you I'm afraid as I'm not sure what has happened. Have you sent from a wallet on your computer or an online wallet?
-
it was sent from a wallet on my computer.. bitcoin v0.8.1-beta, to be exact. I've sent or received over 90 sums successfully with this rig.
Now, the story gets stranger. I just set up another computer with a new version of bitcoin wallet, added my wallet, let it snycronize and WALA, my 2 + Bitcoins are in that wallet, but the one I sent them from says the coins are sent, without one confirmation.
One weird thing that happened a few months ago while I was still mining, was that a small sum of Bitcoin reappeared in my account after I sent and spent it, for no reason I can really explain. I thought, "Thats cool", and tried to transfer over to my SR. It was only like .17 BTC, but it never confirmed either and remains in my BTC Transaction log as a (?) unconfirmed.
I am thinking that I might try and send the coins again to SR, after I refresh my account key # to receive coin within my SR, but I will wait to get some input before I do something stupid irretrievably lose all my coin.
I really appreciate all the suggestions and interest in my problem here guys. Thank you.

I was actually going to suggest you reinstall the bitcoin wallet on your computer assuming you had it backed up in case it had corrupted somehow if that was what you were sending from.
Well it seems like all is well that ends well and the issue was resolved, hopefully that will be an end of the issue now.
-
not resolved yet, theres some unknowns here and I havent gone and the hasty, just yet. Still waiting on a reply from support, but I am not not half as depressed as I was last night, holfding out for a little hope, so that is good.
If anyone has any knowledge on what is going on here, please write about it... Thankxxx

Problem resolved.
First, I loaded a newer version of Bitcoin on to a different computer, then I copied my wallet.dat backup, that I always keep somewhere handy, into the 'C/users/app data/roaming/bitcoin' directory and waited some hours for it to update the blocks correctly. The SR deposit in question was not shown to have been deducted from my Wallet on this new install, despite it still showing 0 confirmations on the other computer. So I decided to take a risk, refreshed my deposit key in SR, then attempted to deposit of some coin which transacted perfectly. And now, since I've already spent all of it, I'll put the rest in.
I think what happened was the Bitcon qt beta got corrupted somehow then was disconnected from the block chain, explaining why the transaction would not confirm out the account. The thought of losing hard earned dime made for a damn scary weekend, but as was said earlier Alls well that ends well, and this certainly ended well. I have 100% trust in the Bitcoin network, but I am reminded that I must take care of my computer system as well, and ALWAYS keep a backup of your wallet so you can blast through potential disasters and keep blowing your money a wide range of drugs, like I'm going to do right now.
Thank you to all for your caring suggestions. Great community here within the heart of darkness. pretty cool.

What a relief for you mate. I know how you must have felt, I once lost my Bitcoin QT wallet in a corrupted Truecrypt volume, it had around $700 worth of btc in it at the time and I was very new to how all this stuff worked, I can't tell you how relieved I was when I re downloaded the wallet and the coins showed up as there.
Thread locked as resolved.
