Title: WTF happened to all my BTC!?!?
Post by: CaptainDabs on August 03, 2013, 02:57 am
Wtf happened to all my BTC!?!
Last time I was on I had over 800$ USD now I'm on and I have nothing...
I looked at my transaction history and this is what it says
"withdrawal       ฿-9.69    ฿0.00    August 3, 2013, 2:07 am UTC"

There is nothing under notes, and no one has my account info, so wtf?
Thanks
CaptainDabs

I'm sorry to hear that.  You haven't started an account on Atlantis with the same credentials as your account here, have you?  You also haven't tried logging in from a screen that asks for your PIN, right?

The reason I ask is because the only way someone can steal your bitcoins is if they have your username, your password, and your PIN.  Your password and PIN should both be strong.  Sometimes people think the PIN should be like a 4 digit code, when in reality it is more like a secondary password to help protect your account and as such should include numbers and letters.

This.  Seriously people. Use a lot more complex PIN's, and don't EVER give them out, especially to unknown sites.

No on the Atlantis thing, idk what that even is. No phishing opportunities really. I am 100% certain this is an accounting error on SR's part, it's happened before. When I first noticed they had taken 800$ off my acct, then I changed my password/pin, then$ 20 minutes later they took 4$ off, changed/pin/password again now 3 hours after that someone finalized 35$ and that's now off too. I can assure you this is a problem SR has to fix and quite frankly I would have liked this taken care of last night, right now, ASAP. It's only 1000$ of my money, any other legitimate company would have had this taken care of in minutes. All messages to SR support have been read but not responded.

I highly doubt it's an SR accounting error, either way you cannot get assistance for this via the forums, please direct your correspondence on the matter to SR support via the market site and let them investigate the matter.

Good luck.

The very first thing I did was change my pin/password and I've done it 3 times now all from different computers with different IP's, and EVERY time someone finalizes a payment it gets withdrawn with no notes of to where and what? But this is really starting to get aggravating, I'm down over 1000$ because of this and that number keeps growing. 24 hours and I'm still here losing $$

If the funds are gone and they were not withdrawn by you, your account was compromised and your bitcoins were stolen as a result of you entering the login credentials you use for Silk Road on an Atlantis phishing URL. I know that you used an Atlantis phishing URL because the phishers added the phishing link to the bottom of your profile. You need to remove the Atlantis phishing link from your profile page immediately.

You should change your password and PIN immediately (you can do this on the 'Settings' page). They should both be changed to something unique and complex that you have never used before, neither on Silk Road nor any other site.

Please ensure that you either memorize or bookmark the real address: [silkroadvb5piz3r.onion] and do not enter your Silk Road login credentials at ANY other URL (including other marketplaces - use a different password and PIN for those.)

You should also regularly check your system for keyloggers, dataloggers and rootkits, and ensure that you always use a unique username and complex password that you do not / have not used anywhere else, especially on another marketplace.

Please also check to make sure that the phishers have not created a sub-account with 'full' access permissions with which they can control your account. If there is one there you should delete it, and please be more careful with your login details in future.

^ You have already been advised of the above in a message sent to you 17 hours ago by Vendor Support; have you done all of that, especially the last part?

Unfortunately you are right, somehow my account has been compromised. I changed the password/pin like 3 times and now I can't even get into my account. BUT I look to the other page and I have a message from support.

YOU GUYS ARE KINGS
thank you

Damn dude that sucks. They added insult to injury by putting that stupid link on your profile. You still haven't deleted it, I just looked at your account. I thought that Atlantis scam was a complete waste of time. I made sure to go ahead and click on it awhile back and enter a bunch of fake credentials on the phishing site to Atlantis and Silk Road. I even used my vendor name and a fake password and I'm sure I got some guy's hopes up. Hahaha.

Well idk what keeps happening, I had my vendor account which has been compromised, then my ordering account I can't get into either, then I made a 3rd account (420mahine) and either I forgot the password, which is highly unlikely, or my cpu is seriously compromised, please if you send me any info make sure it's to my pgp key and preferrably on the forums since this is the only account I can get into that links me to CaptainDabs.

Thanks

Sounds like you need to secure your computer. Best bet would be to reformat.

edit: dat vendor page/listings. SR admins need to take that shit down. There are literally listings up for the phishing URL, and they're cheap!

also rofl Libertas reset his karma. now that's funny.

Yeah, I feel like this should be bumped up a bit. Super sketchy to have those listings floating around.

I've bumped it up to the admins for their attention.
