Title: Support/advice needed 1 HOUR LEFT! Eep!

Really quick summary:

ordered >$500 worth of product.  Vendor 3 months old.
Received half of my order.
Asked for a 50% reship, seller refuses but offers me a refund.

Over a year otr, no refunds or auto-finalizes.  about 6000 spent. 

Vendor says he can't cancel the order b/c I put it in resolution(don't doubt it, tell me if it's untrue, though)

Can the SR admin give me the 50% without it affecting my stats?  Or even the 100% refund and I would be willing to send the vendor the other 50% if they could do that.

Wouldn't worry about it but principle and all.  + $500 is not exactly chump change and I could really use the coin.

Hate to let a shady fuck get away with something, but don't want to screw someone over if iit's an honest mistake. I only want what's fair.
Would my refund be 8% if I accept this?

1. Can SR admin refund me without messing up my stats?
2. What would you do?

I am fairly certain that a vendor can cancel an order that is in resolution, I would need to confirm that though.

With regards to the other aspects of your question it is not possible to comment with any degree of certainty on what an admin may or may not be able to do in regards to a resolution decision. It would all depend on the merits of your claim considered in the context of all the relevant supporting information from both parties.

It's under review and I still don't know what to do exactly.  but that's okay.  I've decided to ride it out and learn from experience.

I appreciate the info you gave; like to learn as much as I can when I can.

 I'd +1 you, but I already have today, you helpful and informative bastard, you.

As for the situation, It's really my word against his.  The only thing I have going for me is my track record vs his(longer and he has a few bumps lately).  But Idk how much weight a buyer's track record would have against a vendor w/ +300 transactions in 3 months.

It is in the hands of the Admin meow...

I can tell you that your buyer stats will most definitely be factored into the decision making process though so given your tenure on the road, zero refund and auto finalize etc will be looked upon favorably.

You're very welcome.  I was going to wait 6-7 days to see if his account remained stable and then release the money rather than take the hit, but it looks like he decided to cancel the order after the resolution staff gave us another 7 day extension!  :D

Not sure what happened, but I'm glad he had a change of mind.

I think I am going to send him what I thought was fair when we started this whole thing, since my stats weren't affected.  I'm hesitating b/c he looks like he could be a scammer, maybe that shouldn't matter, though. 

In any case, I appreciate your help!
