Title: Scammed by Dunder Mifflin, don't know what to do
Post by: Poqre on July 09, 2013, 07:22 am
Hello,
So about 3 weeks ago I went on SR to find fake ids for a couple of my friends. The best ones I see are from Dunder Mifflin, since they were so cheap, scanned, had uv, etc. They were $125 each. I also notice that he had discounted rates if you ordered 5 ids or more in one order. I tell my friends, and they get 3 more people to order fake ids with them. It takes me a week to get bitcoins, pics of my friends, info from my friends, etc. I was ready and went back on SR to order. I see that Dunder Mifflin has changed the minimum number of ids you have to order to get the discounted price from 5 to 6. I message him to see if he can setup a custom order for me. He says he can honor the original price, but he cannot setup a new order since other customers may order it. He tells me to send him the bitcoins (5.32 bitcoins, approximately $580 at the time) and info to him without the escrow system. I was very hesitant at first, but then finally did it since he had very good reviews. The last thing he said to me was "Received. Your order will go out shortly. Thanks." I haven't heard from him since. I kept trying to message him but he never replied to my PMs. It has been 2 weeks since I ordered and I haven't received anything. Other people that did use the escrow system were having the same problem. Those people left him bad reviews, and I'm assuming his vendor account was deleted as a result. Now I don't know what to do. I know I didn't use the escrow system, but can't you guys do anything? Like look in his account and see if he has any bitcoins in there and send them to me? I'm sorry, like I said I don't know what to do. The order was for my friends, and they are wondering why the ids aren't here yet. Please please look into it. I am more than happy to provide any more info if you require it.
Thank you,
Poqre

I think that vendor has already been banned.

Unfortunately if you did not use escrow SR support will be unable to help you.

He has been banned. But why can't you do anything? I realize that I'm an idiot for not using escrow, but there were other people that did use escrow and had the same problems I did with him. All you have to do is look at our messages and the bitcoins I sent him. Please, try to do something. This wasn't my money, I was ordering for my friends and I don't want to have to tell them that the $580 they gave me is gone.

You agreed that the deal was completed and that you were satisfied by finalizing your order.  I am sorry but there is nothing that can be done.

When you finalize the coins are released to the recipient and cannot be retrieved, escrow is the means by which SR can assist in resolution matters therefore if you finalize SR cannot help you.

I am sorry if that sounds a bit blunt but I must type this a hundred times a week, I feel for you loosing your coins but escrow is there for a reason, please consider this for all your future transactions.

Ok, thank you for responding. I realize none of this is your guys' faults, only mine. I just have one last question. Is Dunder Mifflin still able to receive messages from me or not since his seller account is banned? I know it sounds like a stretch but I want to see if he would consider still doing my order or sending me my bitcoins back.

He can still receive messages.  You really shouldn't get your hopes up about a scammer giving you your bitcoins back though.

I went through him as well but I refused to FE even though he insisted. My money is still in escrow though so do you think SR Support will be able to refund my money? I submitted a ticket but it's only in escrow for another 5 days so I'm a little worried.

If it is in escrow then yes they will refund it.

All support did was send me a link to the wiki about going to the resolution center. This is fucking ridiculous. If he is a known scammer and they have banned his account then how do they expect me to resolve the issue with him???

It's an automatic refund in the resolution center.  Stop bitching and just do it.

Like Jack said, just take the transaction into the resolution center, the link you were sent was the instructions on how to do that. Stop pushing back against those who are trying to help you and listen. Once it is in the resolution center make your proposal for a refund, if the vendor has been proven to be scamming you will get your refund.

It's how the system works.

I would just like to say that the same thing happened to me.  One month ago I FE'd for express shipping and after that the communicaton stopped.  I reported him to Support and gave him  1/5...

Well randomly today I received an express package and much to my surprise.. It was my Florida ID.  I was in shock that it actually came.. kind of disappointed because I already spent the money to get a ID from another vendor..

But I repeat,  a month later, my FL ID randomly showed..

So watch your mailboxes,  I bet your ID's will randomly show in a month or so
