just got some bit-coins from bit-instant had them directly deposit it on my silk road account. my questions are
1. they are transferring btc right not money? from what i tried to selected it was the buy bit-coins now.
2. how long does it usually take to show up on my account on the road?
any information would be vary much greatfull!!!!!!!

I would recommend taking some time to read the SR wiki to get your head around how to safely use Silk Road and get set up with buying bitcoins, encryption (PGP), etc. I hope that wasn't presumptuous of me but reading your post gives me the impression you are not totally familar with some of the basics yet.

When you buy bitcoins bit instant will transfer then to the btc wallet address you provided, so assuming you gave them your SR bitcoin wallet address they should arrive in a few hours, sometimes longer.
You can check the progress of the transfer by going to the blockchain website and entering the BTC address you sent the coins too, it will show you how many confirmations the transfer has had.

o i have looked around and familiarized myself with the road before trying anything. i understand the website and what not but bitcoins is where im still a lil gray at. ive been getting them though mtgox but that was down yesterday and i needed to figure out a new way of getting my coins. well come to find out bitinstant what i was using to send my money to mtgox can just buy the bitcoins from there and take out less fees and have them go right to my wallet on the road. well i did 2 different transactions scene they will only let you 500 per and one of them showed but the other didn't until 6 hours later. its all good now and thank you about blockchain i never knew that existed.
