This is my first attempt at using Silk Rd, and I followed the instructions for depositing bitcoins from my wallet to my account. I pressed 'click here to make my deposit', and copied and pasted the address and sent the payment out of my bitwallet. It says success and the money has gone, but it still says my SR account has no funds. Can anyone help me out please?

It can take up yo a couple of hours for bitcoins to arrive into your SR account. Be patient. Same thing happened to me first time, They arrived safely in the end.

Have you checked the blockchain to see how many confirmations the transfer has had?
As the post above correctly states transfers can take several hours, if nothing has shown up after 10 hours and you have checked the blockchain and it is showing at least 6 confirmations you will need to contact SR support via the market site and ask them to take a look for you.

I just had the same issue, thanks for the help, I was kind of worried until I saw this but now just waiting to receive funds in my account.

Glad to hear it, they 99.99% of the time do, you just need to be patient sometimes, sometimes they go through super fast and other times you can be waiting 10 hours, fortunately the 10 hour waits are very few and far between though.
