Title: StringCheesePlow... Order, then Split
Post by: kshadow on June 21, 2013, 04:36 am
I recently placed an order with StringCheesePlow, though after placing order it appears he picked up and ran. I can still cancel the order, my question though, is if "hedging" still applies to this. Am I going to loose 4% of my payment when I cancel the order because the vendor left? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time,,

kS

P.S. Is there anyway it could be arranged that I could cancel this order earlier than 2 days. That would be great!

I also ordered from StringCheesePlow and I cancelled my order after 4 days.  I am not sure if the order was hedged but wanted to check and see if I was also due back the 4 % hedged fee.

Good luck Kshadow!!

Thanks Karma

Unconfirmed orders can be cancelled by the buyer after 4 days, before then only the vendor can cancel. Please refer to the SR wiki buyers guide for more information regarding escrow, hedging and cancelling orders, everything is covered there in detail, the link to the wiki is in the sticky at the top of this board.

Thread locked as resolved.

OP,

If the vendor was hedging when you placed your order then the 4% is gone. On the bright side BTC has been on the slide recently so you may get back the same number of bitcoins or even more then you had.
