Title: PIN issue...
Post by: DrFarnando on June 16, 2013, 01:02 pm
The number I had written down as my PIN didn't seem to work (meaning I must have fucked up, lol). I don't suspect there is any way to expedite the process of resetting it? I was hoping to make an order very soon, but now have all my BTC trapped for 72 hours. Not sure how to prove my identity other than possible circumstantial things like being able to log into my forum account, and having just sent the BTC to SR :/.
Sorry to possibly waste your time with an obvious question, but I figured it was worth a try, lol.
Thank you very much for your time :).

Please refer to the sticky thread at the top of this board.

Read it a few times, was just hopeful there was a minute possibility of speeding things up, as I'm pressed for time and have a lot at stake. I figured a 'fuck off and read the FAQ dumbass' was better than not trying.
Thanks, I guess I'll have to wait it out. Probably for the best... security-wise.

The 72 hour wait period is non negotiable I'm afraid for as you rightly pointed security reasons.

The number I had written down as my PIN...

Please tell me it wasn't just a 4 digit number! Your PIN can be anything. When you do reset it, I'd try and make it as secure as your password (eg numbers, letters, some punctuation symbols)

@DrFarnando,
it's possible that you didn't forget your PIN. there seems to be a PIN issue that the admins are working on fixing. I and at least two others have had a problem in which SR states "error, we were not able to authenticate." if this is what you're seeing, and if you're fairly certain you were entering the right PIN, you may want to check "error, we were not able to autenticate" started by henkiepiet and "error when trying to buy" started by bozocamp. they are both in the Customer support forum, same as this one. maybe you've already started the reset process but i hope your issue gets resolved one way or another,
