Title: Sellers items not as described or the same as the image on SR,vendor not replyin

Hi

I've recently purchased two large amounts of cannabis off a vendor on SR just before 4/20.
The product was described as
"some really nice good looking and good tasting Power Plant, top quality outdoor strain.
this weed is professional cut with a machine.
NO seeds or a lot of leafs,
this weed comes in beautiful buds."

There was also a picture of some nice GREEN buds

Unfortunately this wasn't the case. The weed arrived but was NOT as described. It was literally brown buds (looked like they were about 6 months to a year old) and smelled disgusting.
I sent a message to the vendor once i had received the package and advised him of the situation, the vendor replied back quickly apologizing and stating its the worst batch hes ever had.
He advised me to wait for the second package and message him back so he could resolve the problem.
The next package arrived and i messaged him asking what he was willing to do.
There has been no reply now for about 14 days and i am very frustrated and would like something done about this!

Any ideas of what i could do from here?

If it was a small amount i wouldn't complain but it was literally about $900 worth.

Take the order to resolution and work things out with the vendor there.

If you have already finalized then the best you can do is try and appeal to the vendors good nature and see if they will offer some sort of resolution which sounds highly unlikely based upon what you have posted.

SR cannot help you if you have finalized the order, the coins have been sent and they are irretrievable.

You are a newbie. If you haven't made any purchases, it will still be unlikely SR admins will give you much of a refund (unless the seller has a bad reputation too).
If you FE'd, you will be not getting any sort of refund. Unfortunately, some vendors use new buyers who don't know how it all works very well yet and take advantage of them to offload low quality stock or scam you.

Hi

I did FE early as the vendors shipping costs were quite high and it said "FE early for free shipping" on his/her profile.
I created my SR account about 30 days ago now and have used a large amount of BTC on numerous transactions, none of which i had problems with.

Vendors may ask buyers to FE for all sorts of reasons, some are legitimate and some are not depending on the intentions of the vendor and in your case the vendor has offered an incentive for you to FE so you saved a few $$$ and now you do not have your order and no recourse via escrow.

Personally I would advise against being enticed into releasing payment for a small benefit because should you run into difficulties as you are now there is very little you can do.

I would invite you to take this experience as a learning opportunity and next time you are asked to FE you can politely respond by saying thank you but no, you would prefer to use escrow as it protects both parties. If the vendor then decides to cancel your order take your coins elsewhere.
