Yeah, they are still battling the elements that are trying to destroy SR. I wish I could help. Us IT folks could probably do some good but the logistics of it aren't conducive. I would only suggest that Sr. Mgmt attempt to cultivate some IT relationships somehow in the future so that they can have a bigger army for these types of battles. Just something to think about. I was hacking into networks and doing vulnerability analysis before most people even knew what the "interweb" was or their extent was AOL and Compuserv.
Anyway, maybe there is a way in the future without compromising OPSEC.
Hang in there SR!!! We are sending positive thoughts your way.

Unfortunately, due to the privacy/security model of hidden services. Sites like these are more vulnerable than others to DDOS/DOS type attacks. There are still ways to mitigate these types of attacks, even on the Tor network, however...I would like to offer my expertise and assistance to the folks at Silk Road to accomplish just this, perhaps with the other gentleman who posted something similar or others with IT background. I myself work for an Enterprise level IT company which hosts and provides mission critical services. And, I love Silk Road and everything it stands for! Let's keep this site up please.
