Title: Server error in resolution center submission requested a 0% refund.
Post by: cryhavoc2 on April 24, 2013, 06:17 am
I ordered something from SuperTrips a few weeks ago. It had not arrived so I went to the resolution center to propose a 14 day wait. That first waiting period was to end today. Yesterday I was in the resolution center and proposed an additional 14 day wait. When I clicked "submit", the page hung for a very long time and then went to a pale yellow server error page. After that Silk road was unreachable and I believe it went down for maintenance. I logged in today to see that the resolution I proposed did not take the 14 day wait. Instead it had requested a 0% refund which SuperTrips accepted. I am 100% certain that the "wait" radio button was selected and not the "request refund" button as I would obviously have never requested a 0% refund. Has anyone else had this issue? To pour salt on the wound, I had made this purchase before the price of bitcoin went out of control so now the vendor was effectively paid double and I never received anything. Is there anything that can be done? I have attached the message I sent the vendor a few minutes ago.

Hello,
I  made a purchase from you a few weeks back. It did not arrive in the initial waiting period so I requested an additional 14 day wait. That additional wait was to end tomorrow. I went to the resolution center to suggest a second 14-day waiting period. When I submitted the request, I received a server error page and then the Silk Road became unreachable. Earlier today I logged on to see that somehow the request went through as a 0% refund. I certainly did not request it. I have created a thread on the support forum to see if anyone else ran into this problem. This is a crappy situation for a couple reasons. This was an unhedged listing and I made this purchase before the price of bitcoin went wild. Obviously you are entitled to that increased value but because of this error, you were paid $350 (or more) and I still never received anything. Would you consider doing a re-ship for this order? It certainly isn't your fault that this happened, I just want to get what I paid for. Thank you for your consideration.

That would be incredibly bad luck for that to have happened, if you were in the process of requesting an extension to the finalize date to allow for a delay in your order being shipped/arriving there is no reason for the option you were apparently half way though selecting to suddenly change from extension to refund then end up with a request for 0%.

The market site has been known to glitch though, some members have found themselves inexplicably unable to log into their accounts after a down for maintenance period. In all honesty I have no idea what may have happened in your circumstance and the best I can advise you to do is to contact SR support and tell them what appears to have happened and see what they have to say.

Never come across this issue affecting anyone before so can you please post an update when you get a response from support.
