just tried to get onto silkroad but on the login screen there is no captcha, how do you log in.

you might need to root the device. There are tutorials online. I have had the same thing happen but since then I have decided that my phone is not the best device for SR.

No, you shouldn't have to root your device to just get Orbot/Orweb working on Android.
I have it installed on a Nexus 7 and it works just fine. I just loaded it up and I get the proper login with the captcha.
What address are you using to go to Silk Road, it should be 'silkroadvb5piz3r.onion', never try to go to Silk Road via the Hidden Wiki or any other link that you didn't create yourself.
Double check under settings in Orweb that you have 'Load Images' checked off.

You have to enable cookies, enable them across the board.
Don't just whitelist SR for security reasons of course, as that would be a URL saved in your whitelist and that is not cool.

Sorry to unlock the thread SSBD, but something more needs to be said about Orweb.
Orweb is a very flawed product. For example, if you don't remember to log out of SR on Orweb, the next time you visit SR on Orweb, you will already be logged in. That is a security hole right there.
