Title: Retrieving Bit Coins in escrow (After marked as in transit) after Vendor Scam
Post by: hpawaus on April 10, 2013, 06:16 am
Seems as though a Vendor claiming to be from australia offering cheap domestic 'samples' has caught a bunch of people requesting FE for samples..
(AustSupply)

I did bite, but didn't FE.   (Although he has marked the order as in-transit)
Since then, he's removed listings, removed vendor page and is no where to be seen...

Is there any way? (And how/who do i contact) to get my bitcoins back? (given they are still in escrow?)

Cheers

I'm in the same boat, ordered but refused to FE... if you need those btc back quick maybe try the support link in the bottom right of the main page, otherwise wait a few days (maybe more, maybe less) and the admins will get around to refunding.

That whole situation seems suss as anything, I think heaps of people reported the vendor and quite rightly so.

You should always be careful with the offer of a free anything, could easily be a ploy to harvest info so always use a throwaway drop for such offers if you decide to put you hand up for something.
