i guess the whole spam to 50 posts thing is to give feds or troll accounts a hard time to post fake stories here to scare ppl away or whatever their mal-intent is. it doesn't 100% prevent it but it is a good precaution or rule in my opinion, with that said, my road to 50 begins

I reckon it's to keep as many new people away from posting on the legit threads.
That way new people joining not knowing how to search or read, can take their time getting used to the system.
This disadvantages people very familiar with forums and how they work. Some <50 posts members can most definitely add valuable posts/threads to this community... But SRF disagrees it seems.
IMHO I think make it 10 posts, 50 is just begging for BS responses.
Any MODS even read these threads??

OK I'll give a real reason since I'm bored.
It prevents people from creating new accounts and fucking up review threads for one.
Like a vendor could create 50 different accounts and post all positive reviews to their review thread. Or they can create fake accounts to argue against bad reviews.
You still can do those things, but you'd have to wast so much time racking up that many posts.
Those are just 2 examples, there are many other reasons I'm sure.
