Title: Emonkey
Post by: username0 on April 08, 2013, 07:51 am
I am new to silk road though very experienced in online buying. I recently have had 3 transactions and 1/3 transaction was unsuccessful. That transaction was with Emonkey. I never received the item and i don't think Emonkey even posted it because Emonkey knew i was new to the site. Emonkey usually takes 3 days to reply to my messages, though since this incident has arisen Emonkey didn't reply to my message until i left bad feedback. Can anyone help me to get this resolved, i don't mind sending you (if you are a trusted and experienced in resolving issues on Silk Road) the messages between the two of us, or sending you more information on the bad transaction.

Your options will depend on whether you are in escrow or whether you have finalized. If you are still in escrow you can take your issue with the vendor to resolution and have SR support assist if you cannot work an amicable resolution. There are no guarantees though and buyer stats do count for some of the consideration processes when adjudicating.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Though Emonkey requests that you Finalize Early. What procedures do you recommend taking to resolve this issue. He offered 60% refund though i refused. I am happy to show you the conversation if it would be more help.

If you have FE'd and the vendor is offering you a 60% refund you should IMHO accept it.

You have no recourse via SR when you FE so any refund is entirely at the discretion of the vendor and most 'no show' claims via SR resolution result in a 50% refund unless the vendor has been proven to be scamming.

For this reason you may want to rethink your position but that is of course entirely up to you.
