Title: Problems with a buyer
Post by: medicalcannibas420 on April 04, 2013, 10:13 pm
Hello everyone,

Well,  I hate to bring this to the these forms, but i just do not see a resolution.   I have a buyer who purchased a qp from me.....they started off with an attitude.  I have been polite the whole time, never once did offer any curse or condensing words to any of there messages.

They ordered on Thursday afternoon, and sent me several bullying messages about "why their order had not processed"  I explained that it was packaged up and ready to go on Monday,  the guy said he needed it as his other regular vender would not be stocked back up till Monday. At
that point....I offered to cancel the order...so he could order from his regular vender....it too a few hours but he agreed to let me ship it on Monday (2/1/2 days from order) I told him it would get to him on Wednesday....well I check the DCN and it says the USPS had to leave a note, because
no one way home.  So I message the buyer 4 times over a 12 hour period with no response, until I get a message that he received the package.....He did not like how it was packaged, did not like how I addressed it....and did not like that I sent him messages without encryption....of course
he failed to send me his pgp key...and there was no way for me to not send those message unencrypted.

Now he will not finalize the order...he says he has 17 days before he has to finalize.  Of course he has found problems with the product, but it is exactly what he ordered.  He also said he will not give me a 5/5 and that he could write up a big review I would not be happy with.

I told him to just finalize his order and just leave a 5/5 and no comments....as he has the product......we can both go our separate ways.  but he has refused.

I have 71 reviews over that last month and everyone is a 5/5 and very happy customers, I really do not understand what this guys problem is.

What can SR staff do for me?

Well, if this buyer has an established account, then enlighten him that it is just as easy for you to tarnish his reputation on the forums and make it difficult for him to accomplish further transactions. I really find it funny how much attitude buyers have with vendors, considering the vendor has addresses and with that, you COULD do a lot.....  I understand getting low feedback hurts, but that little number alone is not what a seasoned buyer evaluates. Sorry I could not help as far as the finalization issue goes.

Karmas a bitch, i would mail that fucker a .3g everyday ground up loose in a envolope with some fucking kiddy porn inside. Post his username here please, as i also sell cannabis. He will beg you to stop.

as someone who has had to deal regularly with this kind of bullshit for the last 6 years here's my take:

he's blackmailing you and is looking for you to either refund him or give him some kind of freebie in return for him behaving as he should.

If I understand how this goes, he'll either make you wait until it auto finalises or if he's a real fucker he'll send it to arbitration (I don't know what the events are that allow people to do that, apart from non delivery) and then he'll still dangle the threat of a bad review.

If he's new to the blackmail game then you should be able to easily face him down.  If he's done it before and he's a nasty piece of work then you may find that you'll have to take the hit on the bad review and wait for it to complete.

The way I would play it ( I have a reputation for being a hard faced bitch so they know that I mean it), is to reply to him saying you'll answer his complaints once he sends you his key
when he does that you respond to the complaints by pointing out that you've had no complaints about the packaging before and have had no delivery failures to that particular country/state/town/whatever and if he would care to tell you what the issues are then you'll review your packaging in the light of his comments.  You should then address the address issue by reminding him that you addressed the package exactly as he provided the address.  At no stage get snotty with him and whilst there is nothing you can do about the feedback as far I know, if they're going to post in the forum it's fine as you can point out what he's done and what a manipulative, childish, proto blackmailing jerk he is.

At the end of your missive, once more request that he finalise since he has received the goods.

If your vendor page doesn't have things like your key and anything else they need to know or is lacking any information about anything he is complaining about then then thank him for the feedback and update your page.  if you're feeling generous include a note that it was added after customer feedback.

The idea is to behave rationally and give him nothing to get even more emo over. Don't try the blame game over his recalcitrance and just keep it friendly and to the point.  The objective is to try to get him to finalise the damn thing, minimise the chance of him giving you a bad review *and* to not encourage him or his mates to come at you again.  I find with these kind of people that if you show the slightest hint of weakness, they sense it like sharks and it means you may be dealing with more hysterics and threats from him as well as him encouraging his mates to buy from you to see if they can blackmail you.

I know it's shit but I deal with this kind of thing regularly and it always seems to go the same way.  I'd like to hope that SR peeps are a little more mature than the social defectives I sell to but somehow, some people seem to regress to 5 year olds once they get online.

This may not apply to you but would you believe that I had someone who used to buy everything I put out and if there was the slightest problem with it would pull a version of the stunt that you're seeing?  This went on for years until I realised that they were actually trying to do me a favour by pointing out problems with my sales points or the item itself.  There are some seriously strange people out there.

anyway, I hope this helps in some way

Hello,

Thank you for the information.  How do I apply for the Venders round table.....I would like to do that.

It looks  like I will just have to wait for auto finalize.........as I believe it going to be useless to try and talk to this buyer.

Wow sounds like a very tough customer, sorry to hear of your troubles.

To request vendor status for your forum account you will need to contact inigo (admin), they are the only person who can assist you with this. There are some criteria you need to have met such as having received your vendor bond back etc.

I hope you manage to smooth things over with the buyer.

Well,

He did exactly what abby said he would do......want a refund or extras.......or he leave a bad review
