Title: First SR Quagmire
Post by: lelmeriodici on April 03, 2013, 02:18 am
A vendor I bought from marked an order in transit before they shipped it.  It wasn't until I messaged him four days later that I learned he had not shipped the order.  I have lost the option to cancel the order and the auto-finalize clock has began because of this.

1.  Will having the order cancelled by the vendor (which I presume can be done.... although, he did already mark it in transit  :-\ ) affect my refund rate?

2.  If cancelling the order does not affect my refund rate, can a staff member please cancel my order (or send some sort of notice to him...?) immediately?  The vendor said he would get me the DCN as soon as he ships it, and I have received no such message.

My name on SR is the same as here, lelmeriodici.

Thank you,

lelmeriodici

ugh, hate to bump this already but I'm really impatient about this issue, it's rather time-sensitive

thanks

1. As far as I know cancelling does not affect refund rate

2. You will have to wait until the resolve option becomes available. If you hold your mouse over the resolve you can see number of days left

I know about the resolution center.... It's just that I should have been given the option to cancel and still should since its not yet shipped. It's not like I should have to wait another six days to resolve an order that (by admission of the vendor) never shipped. The wait period is in place to keep impatient people (with packages actually on their way) from panicking and clogging up the resolution center.

Ugh

The vendor recently said the order is shipped, but will not provide a tracking number....

So I don't know what to think

Having an order cancelled does not affect your stats. If the vendor has now shipped I guess you will just have to wait and see, it is not unusual for a vendor to not want to give out tracking info unless you specifically ordered with tracking, they usually only give this out if there is a problem or as I said if you specially requested your order tracked.

Ok, thanks samesame.  The vendor now claims that the package is in transit but has not replied to my request for a DCN (which I think I now deserve and as I explained from my initial request, will not check over Tor...).

I hope this doesn't go to resolution, I don't want to lose my 0%. :P

Thanks,

lelmeriodici

Hope it all works out ok mate, if the vendor is one you have used before without issue I'm sure all will be ok.

Yeah, thanks. It's a new vendor unfortunately and at about $250 (unhedged, now worth $400 lol) it would be nice if it showed up. Unable to get on SR today but yesterday there was still no word from him. And no package.

I'll keep waiting, thanks!

lelmeriodici

EDIT: I got on SR, no word from him.

Taken to resolution.  I'll may give the whole story in the appropriate vendor review thread.  Thank you, SSBD.
