I received a message from SRAdmin. I won't disclose what it says on the chance that it's real but maybe an admin or another vendor who received the same message could shed some light on the subject.

I got one of those!  PGP tag checks out to a Nigerian prince!

normally on the foruns the admin dont have the nick as "admin"

go see the list of admins and think .

It is a fucking fake. Would you really think he would send everyone a private message rather than posting it on the forums? I got one as well.

Plenty of people fell for it. It is up to $4500 already. I'd call that a successful scam! Almost worked on me, since it did come from the user SRAdmin.

I didn't get one, but I'm surprised they haven't banned the usage of names like SRAdmin or Admin or anything similar.

It was a great idea... But hopefully SR refunds everyone who got scammed or refund 50%???. no deceptive user names should be allowed. Much bad karma for the Scammers.

I highly doubt SR is going to refund those who fell for it.

SR will never ask you to send your money anywhere, or ask for your pin.

 If for any reason they absolutely needed it, they would just take it.

Oh and somebody should post the message, i want to see it

Rest assured the scammer has been banned.  Unfortunately it seems like a lot of people fell for it.  I'm not sure why though.  Maybe they were newer vendors?

was a brilliant scam, because the problem really does exist - new buyers tryin to scam vendors.
