Hello,
I placed an order on March 3rd, it was put In Transit on March 3rd but it has still not arrived.
The Resolve button is about to appear later on today, and my question is: do I hit the button as soon as it appears or do I wait it out for a few more days to see if it arrives?
I am also not familiar with the process which happens - can somebody fill me in?
I have made 3 purchases and have another two in transit, one of which is the item I am talking about, but because of my low purchase history will this look bad on my end?

You should push resolve and extend the date within the resolution center if you trust the vendor!

Have you contacted the vendor? how late is the order?
You only need to take it to resolution of you are approaching the auto finalize date i.e. 17 days from being marked in transit and you have still not received. Some order's can take longer than 17 days in which case go to resolution and ask for an extension. If the order should have arrived and hasn't you may want to consider requesting a refund.
It all depends on the circumstances of your order and what you have discussed with the vendor.

Thank you for the replies.
The vendor told me it typically takes a week, which would have meant it would have hopefully arrived Monday/Tuesday which it didn't.
I messaged him about an hour ago with no reply as of yet but wasn't expecting an immediate reply - he has replied to all my other messages in around a couple of hours so Im confident he will reply later today.
It is coming from NL --> UK which I have read can take around 9 days, so Friday 15th would be 9 days.
The vendor is HollandOnline - they have 99.6% positive feedback so I have every confidence that there is just a delay with the package (hopefully nothing else).
I have 8 days before Auto-FE , if it has still not arrived by say Monday 18th, will I then click Resolve?

I usually take an order to resolution a day before it is due to auto finalize in case SR experiences any down time.
