Hi i have been trying to connect to SR for the past week but i have had no luck. I have tried the "use a new identity" option more time than i can count , as it normally works but i have had no results. Is SR down or is their something else i can do?

It's currently taking an average of 13 seconds to contact the website and check the number of unread messages + outstanding orders. So no, the site is not down; sorry, but I can't really help beyond that.

SR is not down, there are times during busy periods where getting in can be problematic or very slow but there are no other site issues affecting the site at this time that I am aware of, in fact I am logged in right now with no problems whatsoever.
You may need to check your Tor settings, maybe try uninstalling it and downloading it again making sure you only use the correct SR site address: http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/silkroad
Someone else may have another suggestion ?? .....
