Title: Renaming Newbie Section

I think that the Customer Support section should be called the New Member section, or something more self explanatory. Granted, I am not very familiar with the forums as I've only started using them recently but it took a me quite awhile to figure out that the reason I couldn't post was because I was in the wrong section. Perhaps a mod or more established member could make a sticky topic in the SR discussion section informing new members that they can only use this part of the forum. Maybe I'm just a little technologically impaired...

Thank you for the suggestion, I think 'customer support' is self explanatory enough though but I do agree that there needs to be a clearer statement of some things like the newbie sub forum rules as I find myself repeating responses multiple times per day. It may not be clear to those with less that 50 posts that they can post in here and the technical support sub forums too. I will pass the feedback up at the end of the week.

I would just like to add though to any newbies reading this is do not try and post your spam to 50 in here because it will be deleted and repeat offenders could have their accounts banned. Spamming is only tolerated for now in the newbie sub forum, do not graduate from there thinking that is going to fly on the rest of the forums.

I would disagree because I don't see much of a link between customer and new member, but I might be the only one. Did you say there's somewhere spamming is tolerated? If it's not against the rules I'd really like to get up to 50 posts so I can start interacting with the rest of the community. What did you mean by that?

I'm not sure I follow you, in your original post you said "I think that the Customer Support section should be called the New Member section" and now you are saying you don't see much of a link between customer support and new members??

The customer support board is for all members, new and old so it would be misleading to rename it the 'new member section' as per your initial suggestion.

Re my comments about spam if you read my previous post again you will see I was pretty clear in stating that this type of activity is for the time being tolerated in the newbie section. The point I was making was to make it clear that this is not acceptable in other areas of the forums and just because it is overlooked in one do not make the mistake of assuming it is ok elsewhere.

Does that clarify things?

Never mind all that. I actually didn't notice that there was already a newbie section... I logged in today thinking it was created as a result of my suggestion until I noticed that it already had several thousand posts. Anyway, thanks for trying to help. I understand now!
