Title: Bought from a very well known UK vendor, nothing arrived in 8 days
Post by: renzosuken on February 13, 2013, 06:00 pm
So I bought 14g from a very well known vendor who asks for FE within 48 hours - since he claims next day delivery I hoped it would be fine and I have also ordered from him before (my first order, small amount) which arrived fine. Now I did not FE and then I was unable to access the internet anyways until yesterday however the order has not arrived. In fact, the story is VERY similar to this post: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=120372.0

He still is getting reviews by the day. The guy marked in transit at 1:30am and his profile suggests that anything 14g and over is recorded delivery unless you state it not to be (which I didn't, so I assumed it would be RD). I sent him a message yday, no response yet. What are my chances for a refund? Especially since the vendor normally asks for FE.

I hate when vendors ask returning customers to FE for small orders. But I suppose it's still the buyer's choice to do so, which doesn't make sense.

I know that's not of much use but yeah. The fact that you're still in escrow is good though, so if the order still doesn't arrive then you can go through resolution to get whatever refund you're entitled to. Chances are your item was only marked in transit and not actually sent off at the time.

Well after this order I have realised I should not buy from people who ask for FE. I have read many times DO NOT FE, and I didn't even though this person asked but I guess because I ordered before and it came within the 48 hour period I felt it'd be fine. Silly thinking about it now. And to be fair, this is only my third order on SR. Why would he mark it in transit so fast? I ordered it around 8pm last Monday and he marked in transit 1:30 am on the Tuesday morning, so in about 5 hours.

I don't want to throw any accusations but this does feel scammery. Do you know how the resolution button works? Will I get a refund? How do I even provide proof of something I didn't get? You'd think it'd be in the sellers best interests to keep customer loyalty by even refunding the what should be a small percentage of his business that gets "lost in the post" or what have you, or at least try sending it again. Needless to say after this is over, I won't be ordering from the vendor again even if it was actually lost in the post.

FYI, reading his SR page he wrote a latest update asking everyone to be patient and to not worry basically. I hope that he really is just very busy, and it will eventually arrive. I really hope so, and that he shouldn't be expecting FEs when he advertises next day delivery and things aren't getting here even after a week ESPECIALLY since I have someone else at my address who has ordered something off SR from another vendor and received it within the time specified.

SR never has and never will get involved in any out of escrow deals.

If you FE you take all the risk I am afraid, escrow is there for a reason.
