Hey there guys i just sighned up for SR tonight an well its great of course alot of nice things on here, i was wondering does anyone know the bitcoin to canadian or usd exchange rate im confused on pricing of actual items, and also how do i get bitcoins can i use my credit card

Have you taken the time to do any research? BTC pricing is on the net and no you will not be able to use a credit card, you would be foolish to even consider it anyway.

Do yourself a favor and read this thread:-

At the risk of upsetting the faithful is anyone else experiencing issues with contacting delta over recent weeks? I have to say in my experience he has been hopeless at responding to any comms.

Shipping / Re: "Flagged" in AUS.
« on: October 30, 2012, 10:43 am »
the way intl mail arrivals works in australia is it is split into low risk, which gets ZERO inspection, and higher risk (for GST cheats, mainly) which is selectively x-ray'd inspected fondled and so on.

Now the zero risk stuff are things like postcards, little letters, tiny packets from hong kong all that junk with those green forms declaring something dull like "gift" and a value of $20. For all I know every single item from the Netherlands, Columbia, might be plopped into the high risk stream. But certainly not all from USA, China, etc - there is just too much of it.

Since it is already documented officially (by the industry group harassing the government to lower the GST level) that low risk mail gets NO screening, it is difficult to see how much of a hot address list can be efficiently run. Of course if you get their attention they're going to do something special, just for you, but if they could flag easily don't you think they'd do it for addresses previously found to have tried to cheat on GST (they don't).

One question I was wondering about, does all international mail come through Sydney as point of entry into AU or does it come into different states and cities?

Rumor mill / WINTA OPEN FOR BUSINESS AGAIN
« on: October 29, 2012, 01:33 pm »
Thought I should bump this thread back up for the benefit of the community, WINTA is back up and trading again after taking some time out due to 'issues', I decided to take a chance and make contact to see if his previous offers to compensate were still good and rather predictably I was given the polite brush off. Apparently I declined my compensation, funny that because I was under the impression "I would not be forgotten" and I just needed to be patient.

Not being forgotten seems to actually mean I can take my whole lot of fuck all and be happy with it. I'm sure winta has a very different perspective on things, one that better suits him and doesn't show him in a bad light, I'll let you be the judge of that. He suggested I be totally honest in my feedback so here it is...

Use this vendor at your own risk, reputation is everything in my book and anyone who doesn't keep their agreements isn't worth shit. Why bother making promises if you have no intention of keeping them, just be up front from the beginning, you could at least respect the honesty if nothing else.

Rumor mill / Re: Reputable Vendor No Longer Using GPG???
« on: October 29, 2012, 08:09 am »
A very reputable vendor I have been messaging has ceased using GPG encryption.  I first noticed this a few days ago and I asked why it was no longer being used.

At first he said that the laptop with the key wasn't available.  Then a couple days later (when attempting to discuss sensitive information) he said that somebody was sleeping on top of the laptop on a couch.

Frankly, this seems a little fishy. I find it hard to believe that over several days he couldn't access a laptop that at one point simply had somebody sleeping on it. Thoughts anybody?

If you know who I am talking about or if you are the vendor I am talking about, I'm not trying to make an crazy accusations or start anything hostile; this just seems a little off to me.

Irrespective of whether is is a genuine excuse (which quite frankly it doesn't) you should never send personal identifiable information UN-encrypted, they clearly have access to a computer otherwise how are they communicating with you and it is not hard to reinstall GPG and ask for your public key again, either very lazy vendor or outright suss, either way I know what I would do.

Do I have to encrypt my address when buying something?.

You should never send any personal identifiable information unencrypted, always always always use PGP/GPG encryption, do not use privnote either, involving a 3rd party only exposes you to unnecessary risks. There are some really good tutorials on here if you need any help.

I've being lurking like a snow dropper in here for a couple of months, hoovering up every scrap of info I could find..... Finally grew a sack this week and put in a couple of orders. This seems like a good thread to throw down my first post in the forums as well...... So here I am, another farkin Aussie on the road. I reckon once people get their heads around the technology, this place is gonna get real busy. I hope DPR, his tech guys and the vendors are ready!
Glad to be a part of this, BTC and PGP are game changers and are more important than some people realize.....And the drugs, well the drugs are a MASSIVE bonus!

Welcome mate, if you've done your homework good things will happen, good on you for taking your time and sussing things out before taking the plunge. Being an 'aussie' on here will be quite an education, get talking to a few people behind the scenes and don't believe half the crap that gets posted on here, if you've been lurking you have probably worked that out for yourself anyway, happy shopping  ;D

samesamebutdifferent,

Dude it's really easy for you to be out there in the Western world doubting my words. But this shit is real! The LEO tried to make a controlled delivery to my house man!! If I opened the door that day and signed for the package.... I'd be in the cage for 10YEARS!!!! This is fucking Eastern Europe dude, shit is real out here. If 20Grams in the West is OK and no problem, here it's considered a major operation. I came on this forum because I have no other place to seek advice, and this shit is really nerve wrecking.

3r3,

Thanks for the advice. But I'm leaning towards what TheBullsEye said. I think that I should behave normally. My goal is to stay away from my apartment, because I know 100% that they are watching that. What I want to find out if they are watching me move around the city ....

NightCrawler,

A lot of respect to you man. I will look into that article that you've provided and try to gain important knowledge for me.

FACTS:

1. They intercepted my shit and tried to make a controlled delivery.
2. After I didn't open and didn't accept the package my apartment has been watched (trust me it's fucking obvious how they do it).
3. I'm located at a different place, behaving normally, but staying low (not talking to anyone I know, and not making any moves to get anything to smoke)

RHETORICAL QUESTIONS:

Q: Why haven't they caught me on the street and took me in for questioning?
A: (My opinion): They are waiting for me to start contacting various people and get me when I got shit on me slippin.

Q: How long could they continue this surveillance?
A: (My opinion): For at least a month... Or they could randomly turn the heat on and off...

Q: How the fuck did they intercept my package?
A: (My opinion): The new fucking RC supplier made a huge blunder and didn't use stealth.

Q: What am I hoping for?
A: (My hope) I hope that this goes away faster, and I hope for support from you guys because I have no one to talk to about this.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

-- ALWAYS INSTRUCT THE SUPPLIERS TO STEALTH YOUR PACKAGE USING METHODS BEST SUPPORTED BY YOU. (ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN THE 3rd World)

Like I said mate if this shit is real I'm real fucking sorry for you, I've offered some advice along the way, I still think you might want to consider taking some RnR out of town if this is all going down for you, would never want to see anyone experience this kind of LE attention, hope you get clear of any hassle and nothing bad goes down.

Jon Stewart simply because all future political debates would be fucking hilarious to watch. Robama is just a front for wall street anyway, a vote for nobody would be my choice.

It was an attempt at humor meaning you have stuff in your country that I would very much like to have in mine, now that I'm having to explain it it has kind of killed it. Hope you get some more helpful replies than mine  8)

ok so I ordered 7g of marijuana last Monday (Oct 15).
I won't name the seller because he is highly trusted and I'm sure this situation was not his fault.

but after the order failed to arrive for over a week, I contacted him again to ask if he could check on his end.
according to him, the DCN says that the package was delivered on Saturday (Oct 20).

but I never got it. I don't have it.
the mail came Saturday and it was the usual junk. I have no way to prove to him that I didn't receive it, but I didn't. I wouldn't be going through all this trouble just to scam him out of a single order. the only reason I bring this up is that I need to ask: has anything like this ever happened to anyone else before?

according to the DCN tracking, the USPS delivered the order.
but I don't have it. it was not in the mail. I've used Silk Road a few times now, and this is the first time this has happened.

could the seller have messed up my address?
could the package have been intercepted but listed as delivered while legal actions are pending? are  the cops gonna' show up soon and start questioning me about it?

I can't just go to the post office and ask where it is... can I?
I'm really freaking out over here.

I am not in the US so may not be best placed to comment on your domestic shipping situation but from what I've read on here USPS is a shambles most of the time and a confirmed delivery doesn't count for much apart from probably fucking up your chances of getting compensated by the vendor. If it doesn't show the best you can do is talk to the vendor and see if they are open to a reship/refund or whatever, I would say that it is highly unlikely the feds will come knocking for a 1/4 oz of green, at worse a letter IF (and that's a big if) it has been intercepted. Using a crystal ball would probably be more reliable that USPS tracking as many people have stated it rarely reflects the true status of your shipment, take from that what you will and I hope it turns up.

There are many reasons your order may be delayed or not coming at all, what have others said in the forums re juergen recently? anyone else having the same problems?? also depends on what country you are in, I've had one take nearly 20 days recently and have been told by another vendor I could be looking at up to 22 days for a shipment based on other customers from my country.

I heat seal the product in the bag. Cleanse the bag with bleach then run it through the dishwasher. I then take a shower and seal another bag and repeat the process to the 3rd bag. It takes about 2 hours to do all of this which may be quite a bit of time, but the peace of mind that comes with it is invaluable. So yes, I use three bags per 2 oz.

That's as good as it gets for avoiding canine detection, good on you for taking the time and putting in the effort. I wonder how many other vendors do that?? not many if any at all I bet, I think a lot of people put false hope in the benefits of vacuum sealing, unless it's done in a manner similar to as you describe it doesn't do jack shit to prevent a dog picking up the odor.
