Customer support / Re: Product never arrived/shipped
« on: February 16, 2013, 12:08 pm »
I wanted to check and see if simply using the contact us option was enough to get a refund for an item that was never shipped. The seller has only returned a single message over a month ago and nothing since. Should I do anything specifically to get a refund?

I hope you took this to resolution?

Without wanting to sound harsh did it cross your mind that SR support might be a bit busier than normal given the events of the past few days with accounts being over credited and the roll back now causing yet more issues? You will need to be a bit more patient mate, SR support is slammed just now.

Hope you get hings resolved quickly, I can appreciate how frustrating it must be.

If you go out of escrow SR cannot help you and you will not get any refunds, if you FE you assume all the risk.

Customer support / Re: who's a customer?
« on: February 16, 2013, 11:57 am »
I'm not going to get into the customer question but regarding FE that is up to the buyer. I occasionally FE with one very trusted vendor without which I would not be able to buy from them, I know the risk and I take full responsibility for my choices, something many other people could stand to try doing on here.

Customer support / Re: no option given to post a topic

I don't get the option to post a new topic on the Products Request page.

Maybe it is because I only just signed up?

any advice?

As I am sure you now already know you need to have made 50 posts before being able to post outside of the newbie sub forum.

Send them to you SR bitcoin account address the same as you would if transferring bitcoins to any other account or wallet.

I made a deposit through BitInstant yesterday (4pm), but the funds have yet to be cleared. I sent $50 straight to my SR account and while the amount ($46.49) appears at the top of the page, only $1.99 of it is available to use. The deposit obviously made it through considering the fact that the exact amount appears in my SR account, but blockchain confirms only $1.99 of it having been processed.

How long will this take to clear and is there anything I can do to at this point?

lol the blockchain is showing you how many BTC you have 1.99 btc = $46.49

*facepalm*

So I bought 14g from a very well known vendor who asks for FE within 48 hours - since he claims next day delivery I hoped it would be fine and I have also ordered from him before (my first order, small amount) which arrived fine. Now I did not FE and then I was unable to access the internet anyways until yesterday however the order has not arrived. In fact, the story is VERY similar to this post: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=120372.0

He still is getting reviews by the day. The guy marked in transit at 1:30am and his profile suggests that anything 14g and over is recorded delivery unless you state it not to be (which I didn't, so I assumed it would be RD). I sent him a message yday, no response yet. What are my chances for a refund? Especially since the vendor normally asks for FE.

SR never has and never will get involved in any out of escrow deals.

If you FE you take all the risk I am afraid, escrow is there for a reason.

Customer support / Re: fluctuation of bitcoin value
« on: February 16, 2013, 11:29 am »
If i have bitcoins in my SR wallet are they affected by the fluctuation of bitcoin value, or do they retain the same value as when they were deposited into my wallet?

Bitcoins are worth what the market rate is for them at any given time, if they go up in value after you buy then happy days, if they go down then you lose out.

I hate to say it but maybe this is a valuable lesson in coming to the forums before placing any orders, consider yourself lucky you are in escrow and come here first next time before pulling the trigger on an order.

If they were showing in the blockchain  and you have sent them to the correct address then SR support will be able to resolve the issue for you.

SR does not get involved in any out of escrow disputes, ever.

Do not FE, if you do then you take the risk.

Sorry you guys got scammed, I really am.
