Oi idk why I thought I saw it somewhere must have been belgium mail or something. I had a vendor from netherlands use mylar bags and xray proof shit but its still sketching me out

Trying to make something xRay proof is another issue all in itself. I recently had an issue with an order and when I spoke to the vendor they said they used carbon paper to conceal the contents, as soon as they told me that I felt like saying well you might as well have just written illegal drugs inside please inspect me Mr custom person. All packages are scanned entering AU, trying to conceal the contents like that guarantees an inspection because is looks totally suss on the scanner.

Update:

Had several orders arrive from different vendors since, and all arrived. So at least the burned address theory has failed.

Vendor described his packing methods to me, so if in the future I receive multiple orders, I'll know which is his.

But meh, stuff goes missing sometimes. Just how it is.

Do not make the mistake of being complacent mate. If that order was picked up it will be logged on a register somewhere then if you have another no show then you may come under closer scrutiny.

Just saying...

If I had to guess, id say it was lost. If it was only a gram or two, think how long it would take them to examine all the letters, every day.

Or it was never sent....

And the UK sends everything to the USA from europe right or do countries handle that themselves?

WHAT??

Urm no mate, the UK is not the hub for all European mail.

You read DRead Pirate Roberts recommendations and he states clearly 'never FE',but we know  its quite a common request, and sometimes understandable when vendors have all their BTC tied up in escrow this can run them dry as they need cash flow. SO... how about a compromise in rating:

-IF you force FE, how about we as buyers only give a max 4/5 rating as a trade off?
- And how about marking the transaction low, until proven otherwise?
-It seems to be a sellers world out there, the 'selective scamming' technique just makes good business sense if u look into it. Selective scamming vendors can still rack up very high % positive feedback as they will always offer some 'fair' refund for non receival, thus still get 5/5 even when they have selectively scammed you. THey just claim the 'ol 'must of been sezied by customs' excuse. Its too ez. Half the buyers who are selectively scammed dont even bother chasing up a refund, they just cop the loss due to the fact they are 'buying illegal drugs on the internet'.

HOw about we start now making the Vendors accountable for their authoritarian demands?

I read the above elsewhere and liked it and so did others but when i have mentioned it to FE vendors they have all claimed they have never heard of it and I'm the first. But they have all been worried about it messing with their feedback score, so it seems like it could influence them o the beneft of the buyer. What you guys reckon?

I can guarantee that selective scamming is well and truly alive and kicking as a well known and practices policy of the business savvy/greedy vendor, over the alternative of packages being picked up by customs. I have been conducting my own tests with mates in countries sending me 'suss'packages which always get through totally untampered with, yet vendors sending out identical packages with genuine product just dont arrive. How we can we bring a stop to this practice?Any other ideas welcome.

Sit tight with this idea, I am currently working on a proposal to standardize feedback scores based upon a number of factors. The current system is totally flawed and too subjective.

Great thread SSBD :)

I agree with all you say: some excellent points and clearly said.

A vendor who uses this 3 bag method is ChemicalBrothers (for powders).

Those who used shipping as a source prior to the SR boom will know that inconspicuous is the way to go.  However, I would point out that dogs are not the only method of screening and I think (I can't provide any immediate references, so perhaps s/o can clarify) that some countries also use x-ray.  Mylar would give a strong image and packs could become an identifier?  Given the cost to train up dogs, I wouldn't be surprised if x-ray wasn't cheaper in some countries.
Uk has automatic x-ray screening of outgoing mail now, to comply with the new air freight regs that came in January, so they likely scan incoming too.
Mylar and Heat seal foil is almost invisible on x-ray though, so no worries there :)

That is good to know PlutoPete, I have added you to the list of vendors on the OP now too.

I suppose I should make it clear I am for the most part referring to small shipments that are sent via standard letter mail and as I stated in the OP standard letter mail is generally only ever singled out for extra attention if a dog reacts to it, there is no way any country has the resources to xray all letter mail.

I do not have the knowledge to comment on larger shipments that require more ingenious stealth packaging, I will leave that up to the vendors and keep those discussions behind closed doors and off the forums. The methods proposed in this thread should meet the needs of most buyers on here ordering small quantities of powders from overseas vendors.

I'm not sure what you are asking? more detail please.

I am in a stupor as i  badly  know English. I use an online translator.  be expressed more simply. please!

You cannot FE on an order that is still processing, you can only do it once the vendor changes the status of your order to 'in transit'.

If you want to cancel the order go to the order section in the main site, hover the mouse icon over where is says 'processing' and you will see a cancel order option appear.

Send resolution a succinct non emotive statement of the situation and what you have done to resolve and what response (or lack of it) you have had from the vendor and ask for 100% refund.
