Seems everyone is in on these MBB's now, I like this!
Soon the list will be "Vendors who don't use MBB" rather than "vendors who do". Popularity is increasing!
we should name and shame vendors who dont use MBB
This should be the SR Standard, weather just domestic or international posting. (I bet the guy selling this stuff is making a legal killing)
I was watching 'Nothing to Declare' on sky living (uk channel) the other day, program which follows aussie border and customs mainly at the airport intercepting people and packages, anyhow there was a package of car pistons from colombia that they were inspecting.
These pistons were properly machined stainless steel in a factory with no visible tamper marks yet something showed up on the x-ray machine which led them to drill in to them and find 50g of pure yayo in each piston..
If you think a mylar moisture bag is going to avoid a proper inspection then you are wrong. Yes they look nice and pro but they are no more effective than a proper vac seal in a foodsaver bag when it comes to domestic and eu, intl is another gamble.
You are totally incorrect in your assertions there Norfolk I'm afraid and you have completely missed the point of using MBBs.
The purpose of using MBBs is to avoid MVTR (moisture vapor transmission rate) through the packaging, normal food saver PE plastic is vapor permeable in 15 minutes and therefore detectable by sniffer dogs. Mylar and MBB have much lower MVTR and thus drastically reduce if not eliminate the chances of canine detection.
Sorry for the flame but not may vendors on SR are shipping their drugs in car pistons, most come in normal business envelopes and given the volume of these coming through customs they are normally only singled out for inspection when a dog reacts to them.
Hope that helps clarify things.
