Just remember LEO are not going to stake out the post office for 3.5g of weed but they may use the CCTV footage of you collecting it as evidence if it is a CD.

1667
Have they just put a normal come and collect notice in your letter box then? what does it say? unable to deliver? signature required?

It is not unheard of for LEO to attempt a CD in AU with this method but 9 times out of 10 it's just a lazy postie who couldn't be arsed to leave your mail. However given your order is quite small as you say it should have been packaged in something that could have been left in your mail box ok.

Have you contacted the vendor to see if they sent it requiring a signature by mistake? go and find out how the order was packaged etc first, if it was just sent via normal express post you may want to write it off.

was the order sent to a residential address or PO box?

info is bought daily from the silk road regardless of  PGP ENCRYPTION.

Having just reviewed your posts you seem to be our new resident FUD spreader.

Today's mass posting of buyers details is obviously highly concerning and I would advise anyone using SR to invest a lot of time and energy into fully researching how to use this place as safely as possible. Setting yourself up with safe drop arrangements is a must in order to sever the link between you and the order. How you go about doing this will depend a lot of what country you live in as different countries have different considerations with regards to receiving mail.

Opinion is divided on the forums and there are many threads debating the merits of using your real name against a fake name etc. At the very least you should always send your identifiable information encrypted using PGP and as I said make arrangements to put as much distance between you and the delivery address as possible.

Customer support / Re: What happens if I press cancel
« on: June 19, 2013, 04:51 am »
Absolutely not, your coins will be immediately returned with no damage to your stats, in fact the vendor will never even know you placed an order as all information relating to it will be deleted from their end.

Shame, gave back the bitcoins but quoting the SR team

Quote
only edit buyer stats for any particular transaction in very exceptional circumstances.

So, yeah, but c'est la vie. I'm just gonna leave the update incase anyone has a similar issue

Please send in another customer support ticket and let them know that I asked you to do so, my understanding is that it is totally acceptable to amend buyer stats under the circumstances that you have described.

1674
so you are saying I made it up lol  Just one question why ?

you wanna see it from my sr accout then if that helps but it wont
you aint gona do jack shit anyway  8)  so just tell the truth he pays for a monthly data list and you know it. guess I made that up too

So there you have it, investigation found zero evidence of vendor wrongdoing.

Joolz I would not want to hazard a guess as to what your motivations are for the things that you do, from my perspective you just seem to like creating as much drama as possible for any issue you decide to latch onto.

Right on. The weakest point in PGP is in the decryption. I have heard of some vendors threatening previous buyers later with revealing their information if they don't send them 1BTC for example. Problem there is blackmail like that could go on forever. Maybe the paid informants just need to be paid more.

Are you able to provide some evidence to support this claim? I have seen issues where people have been foolish to hand up their information to forum members with no vendor account lured by the prospect of a free sample only to have their identifiable information used in an extortion attempt. If you have real evidence of vendors doing this please pass it on the the admins otherwise all you are doing is spreading FUD.

I have deleted the account posting that information but they are stating they will be posting more so my deleting their account will only slow them down for the time it takes them to register a new one.

I also have to log off for a few hours now, if you see more posts of this nature please hit report to moderator and it will be dealt with as soon as is possible.

Have responded to your PM dirtybiscuitzz718, let me know how you go, you should get a response from SR support in around 12 to 24 hours depending on how busy they are.

Hi CrysisTime

If you return the refund to the vendor then submit a customer support ticket via the market site advising them of what you have done and why an admin will amend your stats to remove the refund rate for that transaction.

It is difficult for new buyers to avoid the need to FE and i suspect it is getting harder as more people find their way to SR and the number of 'newbies' increases as vendors experience the highest number of issues with newbies, not necessarily scamming I hasten to add, more having to support and educate people about how to go about using this place safely which is hugely time consuming.

The best advise I can give for those just getting started is do as much research as you possibly can on all aspects of how this place works e.g. PGP, safe drop arrangements, obtaining bitcoin, how escrow works etc all of which can easily be found in the SR wiki. Then once you have identified a few vendors you consider potentially good to buy from send them a PM to introduce yourself and sound them out to build some rapport. If a vendor can see that despite you being new  you know what you are doing and probably won't be a pain in the ass to deal with they may very well let you stay in escrow.

Vendors at the end of the day want smooth transactions the same as the buyers, they do not want to be burning valuable time in the resolution center or responding to messages that need not have even been sent if the sender had taken the time to read the information on the vendors page.

Before you know it you will have enough transactions under your belt and the entire FE issue not longer applies.
