Customer support / Re: Seller aldog25 sold me useless information !
« on: September 12, 2013, 08:19 am »
@jas00
I not finalized the transaction after I got this item !  I did it because he wrote to me I must do it otherwise he can not transfer it ! So I believed it as newbie ! And exactly this is was I report since 3 weeks !
BUT THE ANSWER FRO SR is at least on one point the buyer is fault on his cases ,the vendor in SR can sell fake stuff, useless information - as like this information on his item that filehoster pay for downloads ! I did not consider to get such info in SR !
What I request was that this vendor refund the bitcoin and SR are helping in this way  ! BUT ......... nothing only bullshit bla bla bla.
I am totally upset and very disappointed about this, of course I will survive it - no problem But such kind will kill at least SR - IMO

You have a choice in front of you now thumbs201301, you can either remain angry and pissed off with how you perceive others have let you down or you can look at this experience as a learning opportunity and take something positive from it. You got scammed, downright dirty scammed and SR didn't fix it. Bottom line is SR will never help you with a finalized order, ever. You got the copy and paste response, what did you expect? SR admins get loads of support tickets from people wanting to get their finalized coins back but it is not possible, once the coins are released to the recipient they are gone.

You won't like me saying this but try and hear the message, you chose to finalize, you made that decision all by yourself, sure the vendor put pressure on you saying you had to but you didn't, you could just have easily said no and if you had done that you wouldn't have been scammed and SR admins could of helped you.

Escrow is there for a reason, if you want the protection of SR then use it and do not FE and you will avoid another situation like this one.

Customer support / Re: BTC transfer
« on: September 12, 2013, 07:51 am »
How are you guys contacting support? When you use the support link on the main SR site and choose to send a message to support, the message gets sent to the account "SR Support", which has not been online for 15 days and my message remains unread... so how do I actually get in touch with support for them to find my bitcoins and fix this issue? It's really starting to get very frustrating..

SR support have been online in the last 15 days, its clearly a glitch. The last thing we need is more hysteria and panic, this happens every time there are delays with deposits or withdrawals, just try and relax ok, all will be fine.

Not sure what that's all about, they are working every day.

Customer support / Re: Vendor ignoring me, 8 business days later.

I had this happen to me and never did get my orders. After I left a review detailing my ordeal, I get a message telling me he's got my address and will" Have someone knock on my door in the morning". I haven't ordered anything from the road sense.

In fact I'm ready to give up this account so someone could look into the exchange and do something about it.

If that message was sent to you on the market site you should report them to the admin staff, they take a very dim view of that kind of behavior.

Customer support / Re: CUSTOMER SUPPORT FAQ - PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

So last night I was logged in but kept getting kicked out... so I logged back in a few times, until finally my password stopped working. It still doesn't work. I've sent a message to SR Support about it from a newly created account... but what is this?

Has someone hacked my account? Is it due to the maintenance last night? How long before the support team will contact me?

Please help me, I have about 6 orders which need finalizing and I am terribly worried about my account now! Luckily I had JUST withdrawn my bitcoins from my account, but still... the orders... HELP!

For your account to have been hacked you would have had to have been phished or gotten very unlucky with malware, key logger etc. Assuming you haven't recently opened an account on Atlantis using the same credentials as your SR account the probable issue is just that your pass phrase stopped working, it happens occasionally normally after the site has been down for maintenance. No one knows why it happens, it just does for a few people. SR support should reply to you soon and if you have followed the correct instructions for a pass phrase reset request you should be back in control of your account very soon.

Silk Road is currently experiencing minor deposit delays.  Please contact SR support if the deposit still has not arrived and they will take care of it, please refer to the sticky thread at the top of this board for further info on contacting support.

Assuming you haven't finalized the order you can try your luck in the resolution center and try and appeal to the vendor to see if they are open to negotiating a resolution with you. If not it will come down to your word against the vendor and they will have a tracking number that states delivered which is normally an end to the matter as far as the resolution admin staff are concerned unless others have had similar issues and/or you have incredible stats.

Possible scenarios the admins will consider include the following:

* You got the order and are trying to scam the vendor
* The vendor sent an empty envelope to scam you
* The envelope came open during transit and the contents fell out
* A light fingered postie liberated your order

Given there is no way of proving what did actually happen you really are going to be at the mercy of the vendor I'm afraid, I hope it wasn't too big an order :-/

when SR support merge my old account with my new one, will i still be able to finalize and leave feedback on my current orders from my old account?

No, they will reset the pass phrase on your old account and send you the pass phrase to your new temp account.

I've always wondered.. if a seller gets demoted and they still have orders in transit, what happens when the customers finalize ? Does the seller still get the btc ?

to be honest I have no idea, I have asked for an admin to answer this one.

Well you seem to be a lone voice in having this issue mate, no one jumping in expressing the same thing so it it more than likely an issue on the bungee mission control end of things, I'm not doubting you that its happening, I'm just saying it seems quite unique to you so not sure what else to say really...

Newbie discussion / Re: DROPS!
« on: September 10, 2013, 07:14 am »
It's generally considered not the done thing to openly discuss drop arrangements on the forums for obvious reasons.

With reference to the post above I would counter that statement by saying it is actually stupid to order to your home address when there are a various arrangements you can use safely and anonymously, especially in Australia.

Newbie discussion / Re: Alternative to TorMail
« on: September 10, 2013, 07:10 am »
So I understand that TorMail (https://jhiwjjlqpyawmpjx.onion.to/) was seized, and is considered permanently down/not suitable for anonymous use.

What are good, anonymous, alternatives to TorMail?  I've heard that riseup (https://riseup.net/en) and mykolab (https://mykolab.com/) are good.  Which one of these is better?  Is there another email service that's better than riseup or mykolab?

This is worth a look, >> clearnet warning<<

It's based in Israel so potentially a bit friendly with 3 letter US agencies but provided all comms are encrypted using a strong PGP key its probably as good as any other viable options right now.

One other one worth a look is countermail based in Germany, it's not a free service but they seem to take their business seriously, have a read on their page about an attempted raid by German LE would tried and epically failed to raid their nuclear bunker, very amusing.

Rumor mill / Re: "Atlantis"is a scam. Be CAREFUL folks!
« on: September 10, 2013, 05:34 am »
Not laughing and sorry to hear about your luck.. HOWEVER, Atlantis is not a scam site. You were phished and some scammers caught you. As someone who uses SR and Atlantis it is frustrating to hear people calling Atlantis a scam. I have lost WAAAAY more money on SR than I have lost on Atalntis(so far zero BTC lost) and I dont call SR a scam. You have to be careful no matter what site you are using. Even BlackMarketReloaded is a place I used to use frequently. I am happy to see the competition because it will only end up benefiting the users when its all said and done. I have been with SR for close to 3 years now and a little competition is not going to stop this place. It is also nice to have an alternate place to browse or whatever for when one of the markets is experiencing down time(which they all do).

my 2 btc...

TheDude
The link being a phish attempt aside, I would like to know why out of all the other black market sites, Atlantis is singularly always the one to be called out as a scam or LE honeypot.. Possibly old rumors by now, I havn´t been keeping up, but out of all of the other sites I´ve never seen one consistently get the same accusations over and over again..
ACE

You know how it is.  Someone says something and all the lemmings repeat it over and over as a certified fact. ::)  It happens A LOT on this forum and everywhere in life in general.

I don't think it helps their cause much when the scam phishing links also create an account on the real Atlantis site. I'm not 100% sure how that is possible but anyway you get my point.

Newbie discussion / Re: Controlled Deliveries--Always require signature?
« on: September 10, 2013, 04:21 am »
Most common CD would involve LE getting dressed up like your mail man and asking you to sign for your package followed about 5 seconds later with the silver bracelets getting slapped on.

A lot depends on the size of the order though, it is not unheard of to allow a detected order through and then place you under surveillance then bust you later, I only know on one verifiable case of this happening in Australia though and I'm not sure if they would do it anywhere else.
