Customer support / Re: ROYAL MAIL
« on: September 14, 2013, 09:34 pm »
Worse case scenario you get a knock on the door however the chances of that happening is pretty remote. Your order will probably arrive early next week anyway, I seriously doubt the Royal Mail has the capability to scan domestic post for small quantities of drugs ;)

Was the vendor in question banned then?

What you do is entirely up to you basically, all you can do really is try to contact the vendor and explain to them what happened and see what they want to do about it, chances are you won't even hear back or if you do they will just tell you to keep it.

I thought of that as a possibility.  So, should I be worried that LE has his PGP key and can read my shipping address.  If I delete a message on my side does it get deleted from a vendor account?

I appreciate your prompt response btw.

Deleting the message your side does not delete it on the vendors side.

I wouldn't be to concerned, sounds more like this vendor isn't running a very tight ship, just take it through the resolution process accordingly. If you wanted to be extra cautious and suspect this vendor has been compromised then you should of course clean house though.

Customer support / Re: Why Can't you cancel orders??
« on: September 14, 2013, 09:05 pm »
Damn that is like another 10 days.... is it possible hes not responding because its not in pgp?

I went through the manual and I still can't really figure out how to use it as it relates to this site, I didn't see anything on the forums either, can someone link me some kind of tutorial for PGP?

I have winpgp and pretty much don't know know what to do now and its not clear what to do, do i encrypt a message and then send it through silks? Or is there some kind of chat program inside pgp? What do I use the sellers code for?

I seriously doubt that, only a small % of SR users send all their comms encrypted and unless the vendor clearly states on their vendor page that they will not respond to any un-encrypted messages they are probably just ignoring you or haven't gotten around to responding yet, if they are a big vendor it can take a few days for them to respond.

In sying that you should encrypt all sensitive and identifiable information, I see someone has kindly posted you step by step instructions on how to instal PGP.

Customer support / Re: Can someone help fix my refund rate please?

Message SR support explaining what happened (they can check your messages anyway) and they 'should' fix your refund rate for you.

As cirrus rightly pointed out, if your coins were withdrawn without your consent then your account has been compromised, most likely phished.

For more information on phishing and what ot do now please refer to this thread:

Customer support / Re: Question on entering into resolution
« on: September 14, 2013, 02:38 am »
Luckily, Ive never been to this place before in my 15 months traveling on the road.  I am ~5 hours from autofinalizing for a product I have yet to receive.  When I logged on, the seller informed me that he never sent it in the first place, so Ive been waiting and checking my mailbox for weeks for no reason.  Regardless, he offered to cancel the order and issue a full refund.  Now, I have perfect stats (0 auto, 0 refund) which I want desperately to preserve.

My question is - does entering into resolution automatically affect your stats, or does the seller have the option to indicate whether or not a refund (and thus the buyers stats) took place?

Thanks, and long live this glorious place of true freedom.

No going into resolution does not affect your stats.

Learning how to navigate SR takes a while and you will get your eye in after a few months knowing what to look for and have a few contacts on the forums you can share info with.

Best thing you can do is compile a list of the vendors who you like the look of i.e. been around a while, have solid feedback and plenty of transactions under their belt. Then find the review threads for those vendors, if you can't find them and there are no links to them on the vendors page create a new one asking for others to share there experiences.

If the vendor is worth a look it shouldn't be too hard to find them ;)

Bug reports / Re: The exchange rate on SR is very incorrect right now
« on: September 14, 2013, 01:14 am »
Kind of strange how there were maintenance links right before the BTC value dropped to $70.

Exactly, You would think that they would not have allowed the site to go live with such a fuck up. How the fuck does this even happen? if the value is set to an exchange, how the fuck does it happen?
Either someone changed something manually, or some sort of auto back up or restore process changed something automatically. If someone made the changes manually, lets hope they are active right now and figure it out quickly. The rate evaluation should not be tied into backups, restore, or updates. It shouldn't be stored at all really, it should be calculated live.

Hmm well if it should be calculated live how did this happen. It is a strange thing, People have been saying the exchange rate was off for a while now, Hell it was off by a good couple of bucks in favour of SR. This seems as if someone has been manually setting the price. Which I really dont like the sound of.

Also usually I get the Sr is down for maintenance. On this occasion I am getting this message.
"Silk Road is temporarily closed. We will reopen asap. "

That message is what is put up these days instead of the old one.

Reported him to resolution center.... Nothing happened..... and no help.....

Thanks.................

Did you submit a customer support ticket? do that as well. You will not get an immediate response from the resolution center as an admin will only review the case when the resolution period runs out.

Hmmm, digging for it doesn't make it much of a notification.

That's why I 'sub' into threads, the notification feature is useless.
