Lets give old mate freegenerics the chance to do it correctly and get a vendors account.

257
Giving free samples is not selling!

Doesn't matter, it is still against the rules. Giving, selling whatever they are still effectively vending and it is more for your protection, anyway, we don't want just anyone throwing up an offer and harvesting all names and addresses of the eager beavers looking for a freebie. To be honest you must be fucking retarded to send your real details to some new vendor offering some free listings, I like to know my vendors actually vend drugs and are not some LE honeypot or some extortionist who is then going to try to blackmail me, trust me it happens.

258
Just don't fucking FE, I refused to FE for my first order.

^^^ This, a thousand times this!

I'm sorry but I am reaching my threshold for tolerance for the whinging, the whining and the boo fucking hoo my coins were stolen by the mean vendor man when I finalized early for my ounce of weed because he sounded like a really nice guy and I wanted to help him out, or he said he would ship for free, or chuck in some extra, or some other lame arse excuse for giving up the one and only safety net you have when walking the SR tight rope buying illegal drugs from some anonymous person on the internet.

No one forces you to FE, you do it all by yourself whilst hopefully in full control of all your faculties. I have lost count of the threads in customer support from buyers easily parted from their bitcoins by one scam or another. I respond to each and every one with the same message, please do not FE.

If you don't want to get scammed choose your vendors carefully and stay in escrow, how hard is to do some reading (hard for some I know) and use the protections built into the site.

What amazes me more than anything is how people continue to FE when all the feedback on the vendor page is fucking FE FE FE FE FE! I'm sorry but if you miss that massive neon flashing red warning sign combined now with pages of discussion threads screaming scam then IMHO you really need to consider if you should be using SR at all because you are simply not getting it.

Silk Road discussion / Re: SockPuppet Ratings inflate bad vendors
« on: September 20, 2013, 12:01 pm »

we know that LE is not allowed to vend drugs...

Really? I disagree. We keep seeing information creep out that counters this claim.

We know for sure that the FBI was selling fake drivers licenses online under a vendor account named Master Splynter and they were running this for two years before having to expose the operation in a German court hearing.

How about Operation Fast and Furious? The ATF was selling illegal high-capacity guns to Mexican drug lords. Clearly a legal violation, but they did it anyway. How is selling drugs that far removed from Fast and Furious? You really think they draw a moral line at drugs, yet they'll go undercover and sell CP, guns, and fake IDs?

I'd bet anything LE has multiple vendor accounts on SR and use them as tool to gather information and stay in the loop. The FBI wasn't selling fake IDs online to bust people buying fake IDs. They just sat back for years collecting data and seeing whos buying what. They played the long game.

LE do bend the rules to suit there purposes agreed and have engaged in criminal activity as part of ongoing investigations e.g. allowing sites to continue to operate after they had taken control and they have also engaged in arms trading, governments have been doing that since they invented gun powder but I'd b fucking surprised to discover LE set up shop on SR, BMR or Atlantis and vended illegal drugs.

You are not allowed to sell via the the forums without a vendors account, trying to do so will result in your account being banned.

261
Change it when you get the message then.

If the order was hedged you get the same dollar value back in BTC to what the order was minus the hedging fee of 4%. If the order was un-hedged you just get the btc back irrespective of if the value of btc has risen or fallen.

Some high profiles arrests in the media recently regarding RC bulk buyers, does Gonzo have a lot of buyers not receiving their orders?

Customer support / Re: usps tracking
« on: September 20, 2013, 07:50 am »
There are legitimate reasons for the vendor not wanting to give you the tracking details. Under normal circumstances some vendors do not give out tracking details because it can compromise their shipping arrangements, if LE ordered multiple times from a vendor they could then map the tracking updates to try and find their location or gather further information such as CCTV footage from where the orders entered the mail system.

However if your order is long over due then they should by rights pass the tracking on so you can see what is going on, you can easily safely check tracking by using a VPN. There is speculation that checking tracking with Tor can flag the shipment leading to a seizure, how much truth there is in that though I don't know, I would always err on the side of caution and not risk it if it is not necessary.

Have they checked it? they should at least be able to do that.

Customer support / Re: BTC Withdrawn From SR Account.
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:41 am »
If there has been an unauthorized withdrawal from your account it is most likely that you have been phished, please refer to this thread for info on phishing scams:

https://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion.to/index.php?topic=130446.0

Have you recently opened an account on Atlantis using the same credentials as your Sr account by any chance?

Also withdrawal btc addresses are hidden from your transaction history for security reasons, you will need to contact SR support via the market site to request they look into the matter further, instructions on how to do this are in the FAQ sticky thread at the top of this board.

« on: September 19, 2013, 11:34 am »
Taking an order into the resolution center doesn't automatically result in any changes to your stats but if you propose a refund and it is accepted then that refund will under normal circumstances will be reflected in your refund rate but there are certain situations where that may not happen e.g. a vendor is proven to have been scamming.

To answer your other question if the other orders you placed have not been confirmed i.e. are still marked as "processing" and 4 days have passed you can cancel yourself without any effect on your stats.

Customer support / Re: MDMA problem
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:27 am »
Not confused, I just know that it is not uncommon for orders to be marked in transit or even confirmed as shipped by the vendor only to discover the order didn't get sent until a day, a few days or sometimes even a week later. If your order is only one day late by your estimations I would be considering those scenarios as possibly relevant to your order.

MiMM: That is shit news. I have an outstanding order with them. What'll happen to those orders in the SR system? The account has been deleted.

Fuck me sideways, my MiMM order arrived today. Happy days. Shame they don't exist anymore.

They still exist, just under a different name (the one they use on Atlantis I think!). MIMM is now called GoingPostal. I am curious as to what happens in situations such as the one you described though??

Thanks for the tip re GoingPostal.

Yeah that situation is a strange one. It was three days away from auto-finalising; if the product didn't arrive by Friday I would've resolved, asking for 100% refund. But since the order arrived as described, I finalised immediately. Assuming Dingo is correct, and the account still exists (and they'd therefore be able receive my coin, even though they're no longer a vendor) I figured I'd do the right thing and release the coin from escrow. MiMM did everything right from my perspective. Their account was deleted for whatever reason but they still supplied the goods to me in this case, so they definitely earned the coin.

+1 collarbones. You did the right thing and your actions were that of a very honest person. Buyers like you is what the Road needs to help dispel the myth that we (Aussies) are all scammers. Well done.

Congrats ssbd on your 1st Birthday. O0  IMO, you've done a great job as a Mod and will continue to keep us all in line I'm sure (LOL). You put in a lot of hours and your effort, and that of the other Mod's and Admin's, is greatly appreciated by us all. :) Thanks mate.

Thanks Wad! it was this time 12 months ago you got a PM from me asking a load of noobish questions, remember? haha

You were a great help to me back then and it's something I always keep in mind when I get an unsolicited message asking for help, it's one of the things I love so much about this place, the altruistic nature of help and support blows me away some days.

Well I have just realized I have now been on the road for a year, amazing how time flies when you are having fun :D

What a fucking amazing year it has been too! made heaps of awesome anonymous mates, spent an astronomical amount of money and taught myself a lot about computer security and technology.

At the risk of sounding like a sook I fucking love this community and I consider myself very lucky to be part of this amazing force for change.
