Silk Road discussion / Re: SockPuppet Ratings inflate bad vendors
« on: September 22, 2013, 05:52 am »
The CIA still does smuggle cocaine and heroin into the US.  Two CIA planes crashed full of cocaine within the last decade.  One of the planes also had US government officials on it too.
Those plane-fulls might have been just personal-use amounts though. The 3-letter agencies probably developed quite a habit back in the 80's/90's :-)

If I was station chief in La Paz or Bogota I would be in serious trouble, "take me to the cartels cocaine factory immediately!.. why sir? are we going to close it down? NO YOU FOOL! to pick up supplies for this Saturday night of course, whose in?"

Feature requests / Re: See which of your posts got karma
« on: September 22, 2013, 05:32 am »
title pretty much explains it all, would like a way to see which posts got what karma votes. how can i improve my posts if i don't know what got negative karma or what to keep doing that got me positive karma ;) unless it's already there and i'm missing it, let me know...

Would be a nice feature for sure, I know I would certainly like to know which one of mine got negged and by whom but unfortunately the SMF platform does not support such features.

Best coke I have had on SR.

Studio doesn't need to kudos but it needs to be said, leave the competition for dust.

Silk Road discussion / Re: Silk Road Forum Problums
« on: September 22, 2013, 05:12 am »
Why save a link, the whole reason is to stay anonymous right? What if police busted down your door and took your computer and had a warrant and they found drugs and a link to SR saved you'd be fucked. I didn't know Hidden Wiki users could change the Commercial services links.

Where do you save your TBB then?

Customer support / Re: Official Policy on Improvements and Suggestions
« on: September 22, 2013, 03:42 am »
Up until recently any changes to the site happened without any prior notification to the forum moderators, there was many a time I logged in myself and had to play catch up fast on what was going on. The reason for this I surmised was that DPR and the admins who run this site have their own ideas and plans around its development and some of the upgrades have been on a wish list for quite some time.

I think what we are seeing more recently is a much more collaborative approach to changes with DPR seeking community feedback before and during upgrades. I am also aware that DPR will be coming to the community again in the near future to gauge community feeling on a number of issues.

I am pleased to see the recent changes happening in a more collaborative way, I'll start sticking my nose into feature requests a bit more frequently from now on and talk to DPR about how he would like the trending requests summarized.

Thanks for raising this Burning Babylon, your posts are always very well considered, if I could +1 you I would.

cant you use a filter system in the admin to block the urls?

They just keep changing them, we were doing that for a while to block the Atlantis phishing link posts but as fast as we blocked them they just changed up to bypass the filter. Its actually easier to just to delete their accounts and posts all in one go, the bot posts around 60 to 70 times in quick succession filling up the newbie board then spilling into the other sections, 3 clicks on my laptop and they are gone. Admittedly sometimes they do persist creating new accounts over and over but seriously who buys into their shitty bitcoin scams anyway?

Newbie discussion / Re: Atlantis Closing?????????????????

There are already multiple threads on this issue, we do not need another.

Here is the link to the original announcement on here by an Atlantis admin:

I delete that shit multiple times a day, they are persistent little fuckers though, I liked it when Tessellated DDoS'd them and took them down, gave them a taste of their own medicine ;)

Newbie discussion / Re: Pigs on the Road
« on: September 22, 2013, 02:57 am »
The ones on the real roads are bad enough ..... pulling people over because they've profiled them, enforcing the road laws and law in general as ' fine and collect' rather than 'serve and protect'.

But when it comes to SR I wonder how many pigs or LEO's as polite folk call them actually create buyers accounts, purchase small items  ........... and then leave bad feedback ( there's a reason for the bad feedback  aside from the fact they're natural  assholes).

Its obvious to me that police departments  and perhaps customs would order silk road items for a number of reasons.

They'd want to see ' how it works'. Whats the packaging like, whats the purity like etc. Its so obvious why they'd do this I'm not even going to say why.

And they'd naturally leave bad feed back because they'd see spreading unease, dissension etc amongst silk road users and vendors as a positive result for them.

But I've never read of anyone suspecting the pigs and their other farmyard friends of soiling the site.

Or am I mentioning the great unmentionable :-0    !!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Yes it happens, there was information released in Australia about a year ago that outlined police tactics for disrupting sales on SR that involved doing precisely what you describe, making orders and leave bad feedback, claim no shows etc.

Customer support / Re: Cancel a order?
« on: September 22, 2013, 02:53 am »
One bad review that sticks out amongst many good ones may not be something to worry about, might just be someone trying to damage their reputation. Why don't you get back onto the vendor and seek specific assurances that your order will be packed according to your specifications then if you run into some issues later you can refer back to the agreement you made with the vendor.
