Are we to believe that the mods don't know if the forum is pwned by the feds or not?

I would think it is pretty safe to assume that these forums are under LE control yes.

How is everyone holding up?

I hardly slept in 2 days, keep expecting the front door to come off its hinges followed by some angry men shouting. Took yesterday to clean house, burning hard drives and ensuring there is not a shred of physical evidence of anything within a ten mile radius.

Anyone got some xanax they can send me?

FUCK THE POLICE!
Wow, someone is more paranoid than me! :P
I feel better today after eliminating everything out of my possession.
I have some xanax. I could spare you up to 5 X 2mg bars if you would like.
Email my safe-mail if interested.
Still haven't set up my PGP yet... Will be doing that soon.

That would be awesome mate, I'll hit you up with a message via BMR as it goes as I am registered over there now, safe mail was down earlier.

you'll be fine ssbd, chin up son 8)

I didn't keep many btc on sr, so I'm thankful for that; it must be SO frustrating for people like Dingo and AussieMitch who lost money on there.

I believed SR would be around for a lot longer, the idea of an online free marketplace will continue, be it through bmr, sheep or something new. I'm sure many people have the technical knowledge to develop a new site from ground up, but not many people are going to use a marketplace that has bugs, is slow or insecure etc. so it needs to be first class from that point of view.

Personally I'm going to give bmr a try firstly, have had an account there for a while but never purchased because SR was way better.

I hope so mate sand thanks.

Everyone get over to BMR, there are quite a few of us on the forums there already, I have never used BMR before and I was always put off by their literally anything goes policy but fuck it. See you there!

Wonderful insightful words Libertas.

To echo your words I feel exactly the same as you in that I have felt honored and privileged to have been of service to this amazing community.

We have choice in front of us now, we need to regroup and find a new home. There is no knowing how long these forums will stay up for, they are undoubtedly in the hands of LE now and even though I thought I had posted my final post yesterday here I am again, inextricably drawn back to the place that I love, I really cannot imagine my life without being a part of this community even if my partner is looking forward to having some more SSBD time not glued to the fucking laptop.

I hope everyone is taking the appropriate precautions, I sincerely doubt LE will go after the small time buyers but it is always good to be cautious, plan for the worst and hope for the best.

I spent most of yesterday cleaning house, I even think a holiday might be called for because there is no knowing what LE will do, whether they will consider a forum moderator a high class target or not I don't know but I have to consider my options.

I have signed a post with my PGP in the thread StExo created, if you read any uncharacteristic posts from this account you should request they sign it because it might not be me. I am sure LE once they have finished congratulating themselves on regressing drug law and harm reduction by a decade they could conceivably come here to try to cause the community to fracture ti disrupt us regrouping.

This is not the end, SR was just the beginning.

ssbd

They nearly hit my account but they appear to have been seized, the block chain won't update and having googled the error message it seems to be what LE do when they seize them, I really don't know to be honest.

I started to delete my 4000+ posts this morning then I realized, what is the fucking point.

Everyone posting here should always have assumed LE would be reading it, deleting it now is like closing the stable door 2 years after the horse has bolted.

The title of this thread should be "Astor was one of the FBI agents that infiltrated Silk Road. My entirely unsubstantiated opinion with NO PROOF inside"

Nanpa a lot of your posts on here where about how fucking awesome Atlantis was and how SR should be more like them and look how they went down.

I no longer need to bite my tongue on here so post some fucking proof or fuck off with the FUD.

It is highly likely these forums are under LE control, please exercise EXTREME caution if you are still using this site.

The criminal complaint indicates that the servers have been imaged since mid-2012, they have access to all site communications (PMs etc.), and the only way to take down a .onion site other than by compromising the private key associated with it is by seizing the server, right now it seems that that is now the case.

This will be my final post on these forums and I needed to say what an honor and a privilege it has been to serve the SR community. My best advise right now is to consider the worst case scenario and plan accordingly.

I now need to go and take care of my affairs, I wish I could tell you more but I only know as much as I have posted here.

This is a terrible end to a beautiful thing, please try to remember what we were doing here, this goes so far beyond just scoring drugs on the internet, this is SO much more important than just that so in the coming days, weeks and months when this is discussed and analyzed it will be easy to lose sight of what we were doing, please hold on to the core reasons that brought us here and what made this place unique and such an incredibly important force for positive change in the world.

LE may have won this battle, it is now time to take the fight to them and stand up and be counted for what we know to be right.

Travel safe roaders.

ssbd over and out.

Please read the FAQ sticky at the top of this board, instructions for pass phrase resets and warnings re phishing scams are detailed within.

Sounds like you are not making any changes to your alias.

ACCOUNT > SETTINGS > NEW ALIAS

When you have chosen a new alias and it has been accepted by the system it will update and show it above where is it says alias.

If that doesn't work I'm not sure what you are doing?

Customer support / Re: making a deposit
« on: October 01, 2013, 09:38 pm »
Do I send btc to the btc address specified directly from my own btc address from outside SR? Is this how it works?

But I don't have a btc address showing where it says account. The message that pops after I click deposit link has btc address where it says I need to send coins, and the same message says to change both pin and pass phrase

Where are your bitcoins kept right now? do you have them in an offline or online wallet? or have you yet to procure them?

Assuming you already have your bitcoins in a wallet then you send them from that wallet to you SR wallet by copy and pasting your SR btc wallet address that is listed where I said in my previous post. You paste your SR btc wallet address into where it says "send to or pay to" and then enter to amount of btc you want to send.

If that still doesn't make sense you need to go and do a lot more reading before you do anything else, these forums are full of information, I suggest you take full advantage of availing yourself of as much of it as possible before doing anything else ok.
