How old was the feedback?

Though your message is nice...your title is the worst fucking title for a post I have read.
I thought it was just me rofl. The best part is when he says,"Thank you all for understanding,". Thats good shit... Pardon me. SOLID shit!!!1!1!1!!1!1!
Though your message is nice...your title is the worst fucking title for a post I have read.

Yeah, thought it was something important related to SR. Shouldn't these announcement be in your vendor review thread. Like that's where people would go look first (after your profile page which should also contain all announcements).

Glad I said something and glad you guys did too! I didn't want to come off like I was just being a dick.. I honestly get what he wwas trying to say...it is just a terrible title and even as you read it..your not quite sure what he is talking about. Even the message could have been written better..

Now me being the dick part...So I went to his vendor page.(That's where he should have written this) and in a month he has like 4 sales. He list 1 product and I can't imagine he had but 1 or 2 customers that he could have just sent this message to them. And put this post in the rumor forum.

That being said you can't hate on a vendor that is trying to do the right thing! If you were a customer then you would love this. And I know everyone that reads this hates when they place and order and then can't get a hole of a vendor.

This is a good chance to tell any buyer out there..When you are going to place an order and you have no history with the vendor...it is a good idea to contact the vendor first. I read a lot of post from buyers that placed and order and then realize the vendor has not logged in for a while. So always read the vendors page first. No matter how many times you have dealt with them. All good vendors will update if something comes up. And if you are a first time buyer with that vendor. Then send them a message first and let them know you are ready to place an order right now you just wanted to make sure it is all good.

One other thing...don't message a vendor days before you are going to order to give us a heads up. That it to many days and we are to busy. And a lot of those buyers never come thru. So message us when you are actually ready not days before.

Well glad you found a vendor and made your first purchase. We have ALL been there and it is pretty fucking awesome. The wait sucks..but in a good way. Best feeling is seeing that package in the mailbox, then opening it and it is exactly what you want. And like everything else your first time is the best. Though every time is pretty sweet.

Since you have made post about this whole experience would you mind making a long detailed post about everything you did leaing up to and including receiving your product? Like the whole experience in great detail. I think it would be a good read and also be a good tool for other new buyers. And I mean include everything and dates if possible..I would really like to know exactly what you did and hoe long each step took you.

Glad to hear you made your first purchase. Excited for you and hope your package comes soon!

Sadly your dealing with a really shitty vendor.

I would suggest you copy and past his response and send it to support.

Also contact that loser again and tell THEM to cancel it as they can do it.

Sorry this happened to you.

Order from NorCalKing...... you won't have any problems.

Off the top of my head Chronic Crew is an awesome vendor who sells both.

Make a small purchase to start out, and maybe even buy a few small electronic purchases of something you are interested in first to show that you are a serious buyer.

Maybe the worst advice I have seen. How the fuck would making small electronic purchases show that you are a serious buyer?

I'll answer that..IT WOULDN'T!

Just contact the vendor that you are going to make a purchase from. Explain it is your first purchase, that you have read everything and that you understand how SR works. Tell them you are ready right now to make that purchase you just wanted to check with them first. Also tell them you understand to finalize as soon as you receive your package.

That's it!

Good luck and welcome!

It wasn't a dick response..It was a truthful one. Sorry your so sensitive..

Here is a dick response...

Hey dumbfuck...even though you made a title to a post and in the post never mentioned what the title was about in it once..I will still help you...In order to "link" your vendor account to your forum account, put the link to your vendor account on Silk Road in your signature. Like EVERY OTHER VENDOR.

That's why your post have been deleted when you try and sell something. No one knows if your a vendor.

Also I guess I am a lot nicer then everyone else since unlike everyone that just ignored you I actually tried to help you. So after weeks of no responses and months of getting your post locked you can see it was as simple as this to fix it.

Your welcome you fucking moron.

Link your vendor account to your forum account.

Strange how your title says this...yet you don't mention it at all in your entire post.

If you do not know how to do that....you shouldn't be in the vendor only forums.

So when a vendor sets up their account they have the option of having prices automatically adjust based on the Mt Gox weighted average, thanks for clearing that up RX  8)  Vendors can choose to have their prices as fixed BTC prices also (don't know why anyone would do this), can vendors also choose to pin their prices to other exchange rates, like the most recent instant Mt Gox rate?

No..... and that would be stupid since SR does not use that.

All that ever matters is what Silk Road bases their exchange rate at.

Silk Road discussion / Re: could use some help i have some questions
« on: October 09, 2012, 10:50 am »

hi, i have some noob questions - sorry if this is the wrong section could not find the answers to these questions though and was not sure where else to post

1. what is the safest way to purchase btc? - i used moneygram
1a. if moneygram or if any other way asks for some personal info should you make it all fake?
1b. best local store to exchange cash for btc with little hassle? - I DO NOT recommend the red phone for moneygram, blue forms are much quicker

2. should you use your real name for the address you mail your goods to im guessing yes but i am not sure
2a. so i'm not sure if this is true but if you're asked to sign for a package that means it's been discovered and you can get sent to jail/fined if you agree to sign it, right?
2b. if someone else signed for your package that lives in your house would they suffer the consequences?

3. what is FEing?

sorry if i made any mistakes - any other pro tips/links general walkthrough would be apperciated for the whole process of getting bitcoins to successfully making a purchase

thanks! i look forward to getting to know everyone here on SR  ;D

2a the answer to your question/statement  is 100% NO! Though you will never need to signing for a package means nothing. It does not lead to getting in trouble or anything like that. I believe I ship the most USPS Express packages out of the USA vendors.  And I always sign the box to waive the signature, I also have a sticker they provide that I stick on to let the carrier know that no signature is required. Yet they are so used to asking for it that they have asked to have it signed for. When the customer got it inside he saw how I had waived it and he was panicking. Well I finally talked him off the edge and explained if he is "busted"  then he has nothing to lose...though there is no way he is..So I told him to ask the postman why he had to sign for it..And the postman told him that he was just used to asking and he totally spaced it.

Now this was his first order off SR..That's how I knew it was just a mistake. The other time it happened the buyer refused the package and freaked out and again for no reason.

I will state the facts once again--------------In over 1.6 years on Silk Road Not One Person Or Vendor Has Ever Been In Any Kind If Trouble What So Ever! Ever. So You Have Nothing To Worry About If You Are Smart And Cautious.

If you are ordering a few pills off here that is different then A pound of weed. I think you can see the risk and the difference. Just choose your vendor carefully. Read there vendor page. Message them right before you order and tell them you are new and you are going to order xxx. Then ask them if they indeed have it in stock, if it is early enough to ship out that day, and if they have any other "rules". Doing that is always a good idea. Not messaging them days before but when you are actually ready.

That also save you from ordering from a vendor that is not around. If you send a message explaining everything I said and you don't get  a response ..is a lot better then them having your money and not responding.

Yes there is some valuable information in here. There is a lot more reading the vendor page and reading ALL of the vendors feedback. Just be smart and patient and ask every question you have before you start to ordering. Like your doing. And use common sense.

~Good Luck~

This is not one the OP is talking about at all.

Security / Re: Help creating vendor account- BITCOIN question.
« on: October 09, 2012, 06:50 am »
All these ideas are a huge waste of time..

The reason SR does not want you to have buys with your vendor account is because if you had buys then other vendors have your address!!! That is the only reason.

It has nothing to do with getting Btc to open your vending account.

Though I  agree with another poster that you are not ready to be a vendor...it does shock me that you couldn't figure out why SR says that. Also it is strange that you have not figured out that all you need to do is open another SR buyer account. Then send coins to that account. Then use that account and send with the option of sending Btc to another member your vending account the funds to pay for your vending account.

But in truth you don't even need to do that, the people that posted in here all the things you need to do to "clean" the coins have no idea what they are talking about...Why in the world would it ever matter if you sent the coins into SR. No matter what btc address you use it can't be linked to your vending account. It basically can't even be traced to going to SR. And who in the world would be tracing it?

People just love to say shit in here when they have NO CLUE. If you are really serious about being a vendor and you have questions..DO NOT ASK THE FORUMS!!! This is a perfect example how bad the answers are in here from people that are not vendors. Just send a vendor a message on Silk road and they will help you.

Do not post questions in here and listen to people that have no idea what they are talking about.

644
No, I think thats bullshit. My money keeps changing. I'm scared to keep money on my account. After we PURCHASE BTC's they're ours. Vendor's shouldn't be able to do that.

You have no idea what you are even saying..Why in the world would you be scared to keep your coin on SR? You are not losing or gaining any value with your Btc.

If you have 100 Btc in your account then you will always have that number. What it is worth is based on the Btc going up or down with the market like it has since day 1. In the last 120 days the Btc has had about 2 days of going down. No vendor is or could affect the value of your Btc.

Do you people not realize that Silk Road go's off a 24 hour average of the Mt.gox price?  So the value is always changing...and in the last 2 days it has gone from 12.80 of a high to 10.20 of a low..it is on it's way back up once again and almost to $12 again.

But again you are not losing any value because your coin is on SR or not.

Before you make post learn what you are even posting about. It will only help you. There is a free or actually a few free apps for your phone that give you a live value and it is 24 hours ahead of SR in a way.. I mean it is not but it will give you an idea what the Btc is doing. As since April when it was around $4.75 to a high of $15 and staying in the $12 range for the last 2 months.. don't worry about the price of Btc. .. And educate yourself so you will not panic and you will understand the Btc...

645
just starting out as a vendor/exchange and i use the "weighted average" price shown on mtgox.com at the time of order processing.

This is not one the OP is talking about at all.

What he was asking is lets say we sell a bag of weed for 410 bucks. And right now a Btc is worth $10 bucks.... then the bag cost 1 Btc. Well if the Btc go's to being worth $20 do we still ask 1 Btc that is now worth $20 so we are selling the same bag for $20 instead of $10...or do we sell for .5 Btc making it still $10?

This example should make it clear to everyone... 99.999% of us base our prices on the dollar not the Btc.. So it makes no difference what the Btc is..You will always pay the same. Yes you can find one vendor that just charges 5 Btc regardless of the value of it..But that vendor is usually a moron and just does not understand the Btc.

But all of the solid vendors price our items in dollars..So you never have to worry.

Silk Road takes a 24 hour waited average from Mt.Gox for the value of a Btc. I would suggest you selling Btc charge SR value not the Mt.Gox price. Your customers will be happier and it will be a lot faster and easier for you to get the Btc to your customer as you can just send it to them from your SR account to theirs. That way you are not having to wait for any confirmations. On top of that your exchange rate will be a lot easier and clear to your customer.

To get that price at the time of your "deal" just put an item into your cart and you will get SR current value for Btc..Then go from there.

Good luck
