I always buy a little more BC than I need to to make an order - because I love this place so much, I'm always more than happy to donate/lend my surplus to someone who's short of a few coins.
I'm trying to donate my last 0.01 but SR keeps telling me I have insufficient funds, even though I have the money in my wallet.
Is there therefore, a limit to what you can send to another member or do you have to have a non-zero balance?
Thanks for the help.
Edit: I am guessing it's because SR rounds up whatever 0.00XXXX you have to the nearest cent, but if I'm wrong would be interested in knowing otherwise.

Correct. If you have, say, 0.008 BTC in your account, your balance will display 0.01, but SR won't let you transfer it out.
If you PM me the name of the member in need of the 0.01 I will happily help them out.

Thanks for the reply and offer, I think he is set as I haven't heard back. I told him to check this thread out if in doubt, what a kind lot this forum is < 3

I also would like to donate my fractions of bitcoins. It's so ridiculous to have a .01. When I'm having account downtime I want it zero'd out. Just for the look of unused.

Try donating 0.005 and your bank balance should go to 0.0

i had a similar problem a week back when i was trying to place an order for 5.69btc and i had 5.69btc in my wallet so i messaged support and this was there response
hope this helps
Bitcoins are calculated up to eight decimal places and the system rounds them to the nearest hundredth of a coin. If your balance reads 5.69 and will not let you spend 5.69, your actual balance is between 5.68500000 and 5.68999999 bitcoins.
