do you the fellow community always pgp encrypt your messeges to the vendor on silk road? or just your address and other.
-
Most just want you to pgp address, not regular messages or questions about product or what not. It takes up too much time if they are a super busy vendor and isn't needed if the message isn't sensitive info.
-
agreed, general questions about product plain text, personal address wiser to encrypt
-
thanks what i was looking for, ive messeged a few vendors and figured they wouldnt mind that i did not pgp encrypt the message . i mainly asked about the quality of the product and to let them know i would be ordering soon
-
cheers, and hope your experience on the road is fruitful. some vendors prefer privnote, but i'm not quite sold

i hope it will be too. thanks for the info, im sketched thats i dont have my cp encrypted while using the tor browser.

No, its not necessary, i believe the only time LE can intercept info from SR is if it happens within the window of a certain short period of time.
And yes, the busy vendors will waste a lot of time de-crypting.

I have heard this as well.

You must always encrypt your address. That's not Pine's opinion. It's more in the nature of a scientific fact than an opinion.
As for other things such as messages containing non-identifiable information, it is your judgement call.
I encrypt some messages I consider sensitive and not others such as "Hi". Read the following carefully:
You should assume that every single thing you don't PGP Encrypt/Decrypt on this website and SR is completely public.
That is our threat model. We assume everything is hacked already. If you think this way you won't make mistakes that will leave you awake at night.
