Greetings gentlefolk of SR.
It has come to my attention that I placed a bet (with much moral support from Thumbs) with Joey Terrifying last month, a bet with conditions that were reached recently.
Evidence:
only buy BTC right now if you're going to spend them immediately. i strongly suspect the btc value is going to plummet in early to mid september.

lets make a gentleman/woman's bet, dear pine! i bet a hardy handshake that the bitcoin drops to 7 or under by september 19th (talk like a pirate day)

Ok, so basically since on the 19th of September 1 BTC was worth > $7.00, Joel owes Pine 1 BTC.
It'd be nice if somebody else can double check this, but 1 BTC on the 19th of September had a median price of 12.26 USD

So;
฿0.50 for thumbs, ฿0.20 each for Squid, Nomad, Chronic, Limet and Guru, and also our newest moderator Moksha (may be a small delay Moksha! But fear not I have not forgotten! A platypus never forgets!)
I don't think I've left any of the moderator team out there, I assume Mr Indica and Mr Roberts get paid a salary so no B$ for you guys, just kind regards and a wonderful fluffy platypus hug, LOL!

people like Pine and other prominent members of this community are why I am optimistic about humanity as a whole. not greedy, paying it forward, thinking of the whole. good shit.
BTW, i fucking hate gambling, usually, and this is the first "bet" for money (including lotto tickets, casinos, etc) i've made in years. funny, that the one time I gamble, I'm left with a positive feeling as a result of losing the bet 8)
