No significant problems with UK deliveries so far - our biggest market, by the way. They get seized once in a while (~1-2 parcels out of 100), but as mentioned earlier, we refund or resend if this happens!
It never happened to us the cigarettes sent to an address to be seized two times in a row, so you just can call it a "longer" delivery :)

not trying to cause any harm to the vendors business here but me and a friend ordered some at pretty much the same time from the clearnet site some months ago, my friend got his but mine never arrived, neither did i get a seizure notice (hence no refund either :( ) on my friend getting his he made a larger order which has not arrived yet either so out of 3 orders only one arrived, i dont think the seller is not legit by any means but i think it is quite a gamble ordering to the UK at least

Well, if there is no "Letter of Seizure" then it must have got lost in the post - an extremely rare occurrence! HM Revenue and Customs is OBLIGED by the law to inform you about the seizure, if there is one.
After a PM discussion we agreed to resend the missing order. We will not do this for everyone, but as long as the buyer is able to convince us he's reliable, we will always resend or refund.

We ship via airmail and you will not have to sign for the package. If they end up seized, we will resend or refund. It depends on where you live, really, but if stopped by customs, they are usually sent back to us.

The excise tax and consequently the final price of a product is directly depending on the country's living standards, and in Eastern Europe the level of life is much lower compared to the developed world. Hence the dramatic price difference!

I can vouch for this vendor. Ordered twice through the clearnet site and received both packages. There's always the off change that your package gets lost, but calculate this into the total price and you're probably still saving a lot of money.

Moldova tax has been paid (the tax-sticker is on every pack). Cigarettes are just that cheap, at least that is what a quick Google search makes me believe (less than 1 euro for a pack of Marlboro's, according to one site).

Well it was less than 1 euro a couple of years ago. Since then, they have started increasing prices (European integration, they call it) and it's almost 2 euros if you buy it from a local tobacco shop.

I suppose it depends on which brand you order, but I've had Marlboro and Lucky Strike which were both produced in Ukraine (while the Dutch and presumably the UK ones are produced in West Europe). This means that some brands will taste slightly different, but I wouldn't say that they're a lower quality. I've bought cartons on airports all over the world and the difference you notice then is similar to the difference of those Ukrainian cigarettes.

Some brands might taste a bit different but it doesn't mean they're of a lower quality - it all depends on where the tobacco is grown (on how much sun there is and stuff like that). Personally, I like the Ukrainian Kent much more than the UK one (I smoke Neo 4).

If you meant you're looking for a "smoother" choice, I would go for L&M, Winston or Kent.

Leana and Nistru are unfiltered. All three have rich oriental flavour, but they are pretty strong, so take care :)

Only said it normally takes longer, but i don't care much about that.
I bought 2 cartons L&M red label, my favorite brand around here.
I don't taste much difference, but they cost only half the price!

Just google RYO Cigarettes. I use Cherokee mild tobacco at $44.95 per 5 pound bag and Shargio mild tubes at $1.99USD per carton (200 count). Each pound give you approx 3 cartons.

Theoretically yes, but I do not know how practical is that.. To get such quantities you would need half that many addresses, as the maximum we dispatch is 2 cartons in one parcel per shipping address, and it's generally not a very good idea to send more than 2 parcels per week to one shipping address. It also depends on the location. US and Continental Europe have very high successful delivery rates.. If you give me more information, I can be more specific.

The reason why I ask is that if you can deliver bulk with those kinds of prices and the cigs aren't fake you can put them in the Indian and Chinese corner shops in the U.K. I would need you to do those amounts in one single shipment though because that amount of addresses just isn't practical. Would you be able to deliver via commercial shipping and put them in something else?

Turkish stuff is strong, but to me it doesn't taste as harsh as regular full flavored. Someone said it tastes like they spray sugar on the tobacco in small quantities. Another buddy of mine who tried my smokes once calls them "smooth ones," because while retaining the full-flavoredness, it goes down a lot less harshly. It's hard for me to describe the taste. The box refers to the taste as "smooth and mellow."
As to the other posters question, I've calculated that after shipping a carton of your smokes costs about 30 bucks, which is a twenty dollar discount from where I live. That guy must live somewhere with exceptionally cheap cigarette taxes to be paying that price.
I would say you should give Lucky Strikes (Silver) and Gauloises (Red) a shot.
Regarding that guy, yeah, he's probably from Ukraine or smth, hehe.

Just got my Davidoff Classics today, they're the Eastern European made-in-Ukraine variant which is my favorite in terms of taste. Shipping was quite prompt, the package took about a week to reach me in Canada, which is excellent. I only wish they had Davidoff Magnum, but the Classics will do nicely.

The actual manufacturing cost of cigarettes are very low. You can buy 5 pound bags of BETTER tobacco for $45 retail. Just think how much LESS the manufacturers pay if they buy millions of TONS at a time.
The majority of the costs are import, federal, state, and in some cases local taxes.
Buying raw materials at retail prices, I can make a carton of cigs for around $5 a carton.

The majority of the costs are import, federal, state, and in some cases local taxes.

If you are a smoker, you'll be irked to know that manufacturing a carton of ciggies costs less than $0.01, or perhaps $0.12 in a highly regulated developed country, but seriously pissed off that the real price in a shop would be less than a dollar. A carton should cost about the same as a Mars Bar. So you guys are getting taxed, levied, excised, whatever you want to call it, at about several hundred or even thousand percent.

Absolutely true. There are plenty of countries where a pack of cigs costs less than 1 euro, and that is all perfectly legal and is the retail price including margin for shopkeepers and such. In Indonesia and the Filipines a -legit- pack of marboro is $1 or less, local imitation brands are even cheaper.
But what's also surprising: In an otherwise pretty expensive country like Dubai the price of a pack is only 6 dirham (us$1.60).

Uh I just got my order to Eastern U.S. in 8 days. That was WAY fucking faster than I expected. Was stepping out the door to go buy a pack from the gas station and this beautiful little parcel is at my feet. I'm on day nine waiting for my Only order.
I finalized early, which naturally leaves that sick feeling in the gut.
Seeing the Limetless vouch helped with that, but I'm not into the fags. I'll probably stick with just ordering cigarettes from the dude, but ya know to each his own, didn't even know that kind of service was allowed on the road.
I can see it's going to take a bit of an initial investment to get enough flow going to keep stocked during the wait times if I start buying consistently from this vendor. Can't really complain about the wait though, the product is coming from Moldova...

I finalized early, which naturally leaves that sick feeling in the gut.
We're receiving way too many orders to be able to do escrow unfortunately. No need to worry about it because scamming people out simply doesn't make economic sense for us - the damage to the reputation would be far more significant than the couple of bitcoins gained. Proof to that - lack of complaints :) We have had a couple of seizures on SR already, but we have re-dispatched or refunded the persons in question. Look it up, and on the Bitcointalk thread as well.
I wish shipping could be cheaper with larger quantities though, but more than 200 cigs per parcel may be asking for trouble...
If you look attentively, shipping IS cheaper if you order more. Also, from what I know (for the sake of comparison), Camels are 5 EUR in Holland and you buy them from us for 2.3 EUR including shipping. Sounds like a pretty awesome deal to me :)

@Only: if the first shipment makes it here in proper order i'll be ordering more, no worries about that :) There is no doubt these cigs are cheaper including shipping costs compared to buying them locally at full rate either.
For personal use getting 1 or 2 cartons a week at these rates is excellent, but for resale volumes some method of sending larger shipments economically needs to be worked out. There is another tax hike coming in the netherlands on cigs, and i think there will be more and more market opening up for cartons coming from the tax-friendlier EU member states :)

I can confirm successful shipment to the Netherlands. Only 1 package so far, but that made it though without any problem at all.
As far as customs go: i've had packages of cigarettes intercepted by customs in the past, from different vendors, and all you get is a notice from customs that makes you choose between returning the shipment, or paying duty and receiving it. If you receive such a notice i suppose the best thing to do is to return the shipment to send and try again.

I can assure you this cigs are not fakes, everything i received so far was perfectly legit. They come with proper tax labels from the country of origin too - it's just a trade based on the vast difference in tobacco taxes between countries. Customs seizing you order is a different issue - i guess it would be helpful to vary the form factor of packaging a bit to avoid drawing attention from customs officers.
Getting real cigs across borders reliably is a challenge in itself, and considering cigarette prices in eastern Europe there would not but any business is shipping fakes.
So far everything i received was of equal quality available in dutch retail shops, but at half the price.

His 95% success rate for shipping has dropped to probably about 5% over the past few weeks. I wouldn't buy anything from him anymore, customs are catching all his shipments and he's not giving any refunds at all whatsoever anymore.

@Everyone who has ordered, received and liked the smokes - we will continue shipping out 100% of the orders despite the trolls fucking up our reputation. Please don't have any doubts about that! Also, as of yesterday (June 9, 2012) we were forced to make customers bear 100% of the risk. I promise to be very objective about the delivery rates to different countries and will update the Terms soon. At this moment, the only problematic ones are: UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Almost never had any problems shipping to Canada, US and Continental Europe. We will continue to share the risk on all the orders placed before this date.
Again, this shouldn't be a problem for the repeat (and "word-of-mouth") buyers who know we don't fuck around :)

Everything is as it was, we're still shipping out, we still honor the 50% refund arrangement (for the old orders) and we are still warning people about the risk of the smokes being seized in the UK, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand.

Then the next 2 came in under a week, 1 in 5 days the other in 6 or 7 as only had to restock camels but still got them in under a week. So i got 3 packets alll in under a week to the UK but now its been a month since my last order on silkroad and just over 2 weeks since my order on clearnet as only thought it would be better to order on clearnet which is true its cheaper but what is going on. Ive got no sezuire letters posted to me and i would of thought that if i got 3 packets all in under a week that by 32 days id of gotten a sezuire letter as it has to have been sezied. I always get packages from eastern europe like serbia within 10 days usually between 5 and 10. What is going on with the UK orders :/// i was really loving onlys cigys.

Sorry to hear you haven't received your last order! Well, only 2 weeks have passed so there is still plenty of time for you to receive it. If not, it could be that the UK Border Agency got it and you will be informed in written form about that (and refunded 50%). For now, I can provide proof of dispatch if it will make you feel better.

Based on a detailed estimate (both from SR and clearnet sales) 1 in 5 parcels sent to the UK gets seized. There is no other sending method, I'm afraid :(
I would advise you to start with a carton of cheap smokes, and if everything goes fine, increase the order amount step by step.

To the different taste: I only smoke Red Gauloises, and there only the "Selection" type, always from the same tobacconist,
And ifen with that, same shop, same brand, same type, there are quite large differences, especially since cigs in the
EU need to have some safety feature that makes the go out automatically when not smoked.
Ant he price is unbeatable, even for me who is living in a country where cigs are comparatively cheap...

I have just received mine, really fast and well packed. They look and smell like the real thing, and after having smoked two, I can't find any fault in them.
For this price, I will definitely come back, even though cigs are quite cheap here compared to some other EU countries.
But they are not the "selection" kind, I, too, like those better, though I probably wouldn't notice the difference most times.

I really like that these cigs do not have the flame retarding paper now mandatory in the EU.
Even at the same price i'd get these 'old fashioned' cigs given the choice.

No significant problems with UK deliveries so far - our biggest market, by the way. They get seized once in a while (~1-2 parcels out of 100), but as mentioned earlier, we refund or resend if this happens!
It never happened to us the cigarettes sent to an address to be seized two times in a row, so you just can call it a "longer" delivery :)

They are. I've been ordering from only for a long time, and all the cigs i received as authentic, or at least as good as the real deal as far as i can tell.
If you order brand name cigs you'll get proper ones. I have no idea about the local brand ones however - i presume they are exactly what you would get when purchasing a pack in a moldovan supermarket, but i doubt you would be happy with them in either case.
Shipping times are good too - when ordering from the netherlands they usually arrive in about a week or so after finalizing the order. This may vary greatly by country, but they surely send them out quickly (usually the morning after placing your order), regardless of how long the postal services take to get them delivered.
Sometimes the packages take a little longer to arrive, but that seems to have to do with international mail delays - looking at the postal stamps of the date of shipment they are as fast as can be expected.
