Title: Would it be ok to use a dead person name on the address
Post by: MasterMinja on February 23, 2012, 01:27 am
My mom past away a while ago, would it be a good idea to send the package with her name on it. She still gets mail here all the time

Sorry about your mother.
If it's in an envelope and blends in with whatever mail she's still receiving then I don't see why not. A larger package may be more suspicious though.

I'm sorry about your mother too and while it is probably fine like the other poster said I don't know if I could do it. I would feel so guilty.

Perhaps not the best way to honour your mum.

That's just my personal opinion. I've lost close family members and I simply couldn't associate them with my personal drug habit. :(

thanks for the love and advise guys, ahh i hate that i never know what to say when someone says there sorry for my lost, its a nice gesture but i always end up making it awkward.  Guess i'll think about it, cuz just using my name has been fine so far. Maybe if im lucky ill get to ask her in one of my psychedelic trips, this would be a dream come true for me, just to see her again. but most likely ill just have to meet her after im done here

Not sure on different countries laws, but AFAIK know in the UK it is not illegal to take drugs, it is only illegal to possess them.  So any drug you swallowed that comes out again is possession, but snorting you coke in front of the police leaves them nothing to pin on you.

So, if you use a different ID, you are still responsible if you possess that drug. It is the same kind or rule that means a landlord can be liable for a tenants drugs in his house.  The plus side is the more difficult court will be - the less likely charges will be made.

One of my favorite books, and one of my favorite ways to get fake IDs.

Does that technique still work?

If the method you are talking about is using dead persons death certificate, this will be more difficult to work at least in Aust.  Births, deaths and marriages now match death certificates to birth certificates, and it is much more difficult to actually get a certificate - you have to prove you have a reason, and provide id.  However once you get the certificate it should still work, once you have the birth certificate easy to Drivers License, then bank accounts.
