Title: Shipping Paranoia
Post by: smart1epants on February 15, 2012, 06:33 am
I'm sure there have been posts in the past about this but I'm not sure where / how far to look and I thought it would be easier if I were to just ask myself.

I am a Canadian citizen who has yet to try what seems to be the most amazing way to buy drugs. Ever! Therefore I want to try it incredibly bad. The thing that is stopping me from doing so is that I really have no place for it to get shipped other than my house. The P.O box is either a quarterly, semi-annually or annually payment and I don't want to drop that type of money for it right now.

What my big fear with going through with this is what's the most that could happen when it comes to the law in any situation? I plan on ordering from DutchQualityBeans therefore it would be coming out of NL. I am not in any position to get in trouble right now, with school and all, and I was just wondering what precautions I could go through to make the process as smooth as possible? Am I over-worrying with this or is it reasonable that I'm paranoid of shipping MDMA/ecstasy directly to my door?

Thanks ahead mates! Pleasure to finally join the community :)

Hey, we're in the same boat.

Paranoia is natural.

However, the vendor and customer both have something to lose. So normally, the vendor makes sure to do everything in his power to keep you as a customer. You have to understand that if nothing looks suspicious, nothing is suspicious.

I just had the UPS guy leave my house today. I studied him from the time he drove up, came to the porch, to the time he left. He wants to drop off packages and keep it moving. He is on a clock.

USPS not so much, HOWEVER, they deal with an intense amount of volume. If you have not had suspicious packages come in the past, your postman won't suspect a thing. Business is business is business. If your package looks like business, then they feel they are just doing their job.

If you have a record, your vendor has a record, or you never get packages but all of the sudden you are flooded, well, I don't know what to tell you. You are on your own on that one.

Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply.

My main concern though was the Customs and such. If the package were to be looked into and seized, what's the most that could happen to me? Would I get the government knocking at my door or what? I wouldn't be using my real name but my address would be on it. Just curious what's the worst that could happen in regards to ordering..

This is a natural worry.  What I did the first few times I purchased something illegally from other another website was first open the package very cleanly, take the product out, patch it back up and write "Return to Sender" on the package and put in behind some stuff on my desk. I left the first package like this on my desk for WEEKS thinking any day now the police would bust down my door.  My excuse of course would be I never ordered it and intended to return it to sender as I wrote on the package but forgot about it since it got shoved behind all the papers on my desk.

Whether this would work, I have no idea but it put my mind at ease.

We have a DSR or Delivery Success Rate of 97.22%

If you ordered 100 packages, then 3 wouldn't reach you, and probably 1 would have been intercepted. This does not apply to stupid amounts of drugs like a couple of kilos. <10 gram.

Is it a mandatory part of the process for the buyer to notify you that the package was received? If not, how do you know you have a Delivery Success Rate of 97.22%?

Depending on the quantity, if customs intercepts, you usually get a letter, affectionately called a "love letter",  from them letting you know what you ordered is not permitted to be imported. If it is a large amount, they may attempt a controlled delivery, meaning they will try to get you to sign for the package. Very simple: do not ever sign for a package. Better yet, use a domestic source. and NEVER sign for a package. The "return to sender" thing will not work, just so you know. If it is in your possession, it is in your possession regardless of what is written on the envelop. Do yourself a favor and just dont sign for it.
did i mention not signing for the package?
cheers.

Pine took a poll in another thread, last I checked alot of people had reported in with statistics on over 1000 deliveries...a pretty good sample population for the whole of Silk Road.

And Smart1epants, the general concensus that I have seen is that it is important to use your real name because if packages randomly start getting delivered to your house under someone else's name that could very well arouse suspicion. Also, if they have your real name they have a much better chance of getting to you. At the most, give a first initial and slightly misspell your last name if your really that paranoid. Remember, you can deny ordering the package unless you sign for it, which you should never have to do.

I read another thread a few days ago by a guy who said he was a Canadian customs agent, obviously there was no proof but he seemed knowlegable enough...anyway he was saying that most packages go unchecked so like someone else was saying if you order from a good sales man and it looks like business mail 99 times out of 100 its going to arrive...and even if it doesn't its more likely that it got lost or you got ripped off.

Worst comes to worst it gets seized and you get a 'love letter' from customs. I highly doubt they would do a controlled delivery for a bit of MDMA, especially if you don't have any priors and it's user ammount...

tl;dr your fine, I think alot of if not most people on SR use their real names and order to their homes.
