Then you should sleep off the rest of the half life when you want to be getting creative. For those who don't know what modafinil is, it's a drug which:- allows you to work for 48 hours in a row if you pace your dosage by taking 100mg - 200mg every ~15 hours.- allows you to concentrate a whole lot more and for much longer periods of time if you have trouble focusing.- reputedly makes you smarter. Probably not in my experience, but it definitely improves your memory, say 10% improvement.Modafinil's greatest value, is in its consistency it gives your work ethic.Protip Kids! You need sleep to remember things, memory traces don't get laid down in your neural pathways if you stay up for ages. For Extra Credit: You actually only need *six* hours of sleep a day at the most. Even five hours is more than enough. Studies show that consistently oversleeping for 9 hours a day puts you at greater risk of a heart attack and other problems, as if you had been only asleep for 2 or 3 hours sleep (sleeping too much = respiratory problems, sleeping too little = stress/depression). Also, this '7-8' good hours of sleep is utter bullshit with no scientific validity whatsoever despite the fact it's repeated all the time in supposely scientific magazines. The people who study sleep say you need a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 8 hours, so the majority of people are probably overdoing it in the wrong direction if anything. There are many optimal sleep cycles, but 8 hours straight in the sack is not one of them.
