How to safely upload/host screencapture .avi's?
« on: December 23, 2013, 01:36:06 pm »
Question for those more versed in OPSEC. What's a way to safely, through TOR, post .avi files generated by capturing a screen?

Example - an encrypted message is received, it is decrypted right on the spot into cleartext. This would be done while being video logged.
This generates a .avi

Which service provides anonymous hosting of these kinds of screen-grab videos?

I would use FryHost, they don't need any scripts activated while up- and downloading the file.
http://www.fryhost.com/

I used it too when i filmed the message log of a "customer" (it was just a competitor in my opinion) who threatened me that he'll fake screenshots so he could tell the people that i would send him LE or gangsters to his address. After i posted it on the sheep forum, he did shut his mouth.^^

And btw, don't forget to delete the source data like EXIF.

Right. I will post lots of screen shots, but I don't want to be accused of tampering with the contents.. therefore I have film as well. I know how to remove EXIF data from images, but how to do that for .avi's?

Just re-encode the video-file with some freeware like VideoPad. That way, the source-data like with what cam you were filming is not there anymore. You can check that if you rightclick the video-file and then click on properties > details.
