What happened to Oracle?
« on: October 10, 2013, 05:29:38 pm »
Oracle seemed to be whistle blowing with a post on a 'certain someone' being the new DPR. What interested me was not so much who the new DPR was, but rather what the implications of this would be, as Oracle stated that there would "be some positives and negatives associated with this" that should be disclosed to marketplace members (and suggested PM'ing him rather than openly discussing it). As of today I see his previous posts (and account seemingly) has been deleted. Anyone have any more information pertaining to this?

The matter has been taken up privately, there is nothing more to add at this moment in time. The people who are constructing the new market are well versed in security and what may be perceived as a risk to some may not be one because we do not disclose our defensive mechanisms.

Oracle is right here. He just went to sleep my friend.. he wasn't assassinated.

And he's in communication with all stakeholders, discussing the past of SR, the future of SR, the benefit of this community and the benefit of all stakeholders (if that makes any sense).

No I haven't been bribed off, killed off, or deleted off.

I think we all have been through some crazy shit in the past week.. and a lot of us who might/might not have been close to the last DPR just want to make sure that the community's (AND LEADERSHIP)s best interests are paramount.

Lets first start by getting rid of all these scamming mods on the SR team. Saw this link at reddit today.

so why does oracle only have 2 posts as of the time of his reply here? oracle had many more replies/posts prior to his being summoned into this thread.

my post was deleted also as the whole topic ;)

before DPR gave his statement on the reaction to those posts i already said that those theories could be kept in your mind but never spoken out as this must be perceived as a risk to the forum, staff and a new market.
i do not seem to be the only one who saw it like this...

yes my posts were deleted, but I asked them to be.

I think I may have been a bit rash in running to the forum with a bunch serious allegations. I think all the stakeholders involved have the benefit of our community at hand.. and sometimes people are wrong. Don't crucify me. SteXo is a good guy.. and no offense Stex.. but I'm not convinced you'd even be cut out for the new DPR role! That being said.. "new DPR" sat myself and Stexo down to work out our grievances in private. What Stexo has said is true.. and without saying too much, I'll offer this. He was offered the job of site and forum admin.. and has for the time being turned it down. Why? I don't know. I hope he does continue to help behind the scenes though.

To the "new DPR".. if I caused any unnecessary trouble on the forums.. I apologize. I understand you've got nothing but the community and the old DPR's safety/reputation at the top of the list.

Wish I had something more juicy for you folks..

this don't make any sense!!! oracle comeson here with some explosive claims, promises to explain more.. and now suddenly his posts have disapeared and now he's changed his tune? something smells fishy!!!!

oracle - if u had any care for this community you'd let us know if something could poentnialy harm us

seems like you were either bullied or bribed into silence? if you're a man, and are well intentioned. you'll drop this sudden 180 and tell us what we need to be told

Thanks to all info. Anonymity is important and so is transparency of potential dangers..I hope we all find a balance with both. This can be the only way the new boat can stay afloat.
