Another question crossed my mind. Background: I've measured purity of a few vendors in the past (none of them still sell) using the method I described a few pages back. The first step to that process is to remove the HCl ion which gives you freebase - which is what people are trying to get when they cook crack crack. When people cook crack they are also trying to make freebase cocaine but they do it with a much dirtier process. Freebasing cocaine using water and ammonia results in a more pure product for the following reasons: 1) You cant get baking soda in there 2) All insolubles are removed because you filter them out while the coke is dissolved in the water 3) The only thing you are left is guaranteed to be something can exist in both a salt form and a base form and was originally in the salt form and has been converted to a base form in order for it to precipitate out. I don't smoke crack so I need some knowledge from those of you that do. I have the following beliefs, let me know if they are wrong: a) From what I understand the big deal with smoking crack is to get a bell ringer, and that requires going from sober to high in one big hit. b) My friend was who used to smoke crack just IVed coke and was blown away how hard it hit him, in a good way. He has a theory that IV coke is much better than crack because smoking crack you can only get a certain sized hit, limiting the high. c) The other day a gal I know was telling me it has to do with how much of a dose you can get in all at once. If all of the above are true, it seems to me that the purity if the freebase cocaine is very important. Is that correct? If so, I could make a freebase cocaine product that is high purity using the powder I have laying around. It would be pretty expensive to make because you lose 20% of the weight filtering out non-cocaine stuff, 11% on top of that converting to freebase, plus labor. Are people willing to pay a premium for highly pure freebase cocaine?
