Title: A detective came to my house today!!
Post by: Anonymous01152003 on January 15, 2013, 11:04 pm
Ok..so I'm not a troll ..this is a real story.I have created a new forum account for my own security reasons. Today I received a phone call from my old neighbor who told me a detective came to my house. asked for my number.then gave him his card.... was curious to see what he wanted so I gave him a call...he said "so I know your picking up ecstasy in the mail. I just want to ask you for more information" then I said" I don't know what your talking about " he said " we have you on camera, we know you are I just need to ask some questions" I replied with " I'm sorry I have no idea what you are talking about " then he laughed and said " ha ok well good luck" and hung up. I'm freaking out. I know they don't have me on camera since he thought my neighbor was me so he doesn't know what I look like...well it was good while it lasted..I'm taking a break. any responses i would greatly appreciate. thanks.

Damn... These stories really freak me out. Do you know what could have caused you to be under watch. Did you used pgp encryption while buying.

I can't figure out any other way they could have figured out your name and address unless you sent some kind of information unencrypted.

Now I'm freaking out  ???

Looks like you have a really chill neighbor. I hope this isn't a thread just to scare people off; If things escalate, get in contact with a lawyer asap. There is absolutely no price on your 'freedom'. I hope this all blows over and you are ok!

Best of luck man D:

Detective MOST LIKELY is bull-shitting you regarding the camera - they will say anything to make you admit
"we have witnesses"
"we have your finger print"
"we have you on camera"
"we know, we saw, you better admit" bla bla..

been there more than once (not SR related) never admitted, even if they did have evidence like finger print,  let them do the hard work - and was never convicted.
make sure to clean your house tough.

keep your mouth shut and you will probably be much better, act stupid and like a good boy who knows nothing, not some gangster who doesn't give a shit about them.

I'm not trying to scare anyone.  This is real.  I lived with a lot of people so they knew I was getting shit in the mail. IDK what It could have been though. If they were watching me they would know where I moved to right? I have a lawyer already..you really think I should give him a call? I just turned off my phone.  Maybe they have me on camera at the post office? No, idk what it could be. There is this one person who who to buy a lot from me like 3-5 ounces at a time..i know one their buddies got caught wtih some back in december..but it was just a small amount...the strange thing is they haven't hit me up for any since. I even tell them i'm going to be getting some and they say they have enough to last them a while. Yes my very first purchase was from Super Trips I didn't encrypt my address..but He never sent the package I believe. One month I had about 3-4 packages sent to that addy because the vendor fucked up and sent multiple packs to the same address.

If true, then someone talked.  If they had info from SR, whether it be address/order info or USPS found it during transit, there would be a controlled delivery and then raid.  Sounds like the LE didn't mention SR and was asking about "mail" so I would guess they have no clue you are using SR.

Since a detective came, then it generally is someone that talked.  Either a pissed off roommate or one of your customers that got pinched.  Sounds odd, though, they probably have next to nothing otherwise they wouldn't approach you.  I was busted for a felony (not drug related) when I was a young, they pretty much did the same thing.  Came to my house, asked some questions, told me they had witnesses and fingerprints.  What do you know I admitted more then I should have, a week later they came to my work and arrested me.  During trial I found out, no fingerprints, witnesses pretty much said "peeweed was here, he is a troublemaker"... aka nothing of actual evidence.  They hung me by my own testimony... so what people above say is completely true.

If I were to guess it would be the customers that got pinched, but pick anyone that you told about the "mail" since that seems to be the only thing the LE knows, that and your old address.

No more deliveries or stash at your house for a good long while...

Yea I just denied and denied...IDK who could've talked..I honestly think it was this person who was buying lots and lots..last time we spoke they said" i want to buy a lot! i want bulk!" and they only ended up buying 1 ounce when they wanted like 5 at first. They haven't called me since..weird though .since this person sells a lot of cocaine. they haven't called me for more ever since...everyone else has. I know they didn't have me on camera..or don't even know my age since they thought my neighbor was me and there's a significant difference in our age. I'm not stashing anything here.I'm done for a lil while till things cool down.

weird how they didn't go to my new place though..and it was just a detective not policemen.
That probably means one of your packages got sniffed out in transit and they informed the local fuzz who sent a detective to stop by the address and find out who it was for. He was definitely lying when he said they had you on camera, since if that were true why would they have asked your neighbor if he was you?

He's just doing what all cops do when don't have enough evidence which try to trick you into confessing or saying something they can use against you. You denied everything and that's good because there's no way they can prove who ordered it or that you were expecting it. If they try to contact you again, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING. Those fuckers are experts at getting people to make self-incriminating statements without realizing it. There's a video on youtube called "NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE". It was made by a defense lawyer. Watch it.

The thing is ..i don't remember the last time i had a package sent to that addy on my name..it was always someone elses..it has to be at least 3 months since anything was on my name.i did have a recent pack that never made it..but it wasn't my name..

And don't you think if it was sniffed out in transit they would've done a CD?

Soo i take it you have been ordering Bulk amounts in the mail bro?? This shit has me tripping also, cause for the past few months iv had allot of packages delivered, both drugs and just stuff from ebay, i was order legal stuff long before drugs, and i never order much of any thing.. Soon as my last packages come in im finished for a while, Im letting my mail cool down a while, At least i can honestly say i do send out legal electronics i sell on ebay and Listia and receive them..

Im not a dealer or anything.. The most iv ever gotton is a Gram of H and 30 pills is the biggest amount of anything, everything else has been just single pills or a couple.. I live in a smaller town where my PO is pretty laid back and dont seem to really care other thn do their sorting and delivering ..so i hope im OK...

I guess since your dealing and having bulk drugs in the mail that could be a reason,

your buyers could have got busted
someone could have told that knws u get stuff in the mail..

IM nervous as shit couse my cousion knws iv got something in the mail, but iv never said what other than medical weed and a few xanax...

BTW BRO IM SURE LE IS READING ALL THIS AND THEY MAY RECONIZE UR STORY AND HAVE U DEAD TO RIGHTS ADMITTIING ALL THIS DETAIL ABOUT TODAY..Im thinking could they use what hes said against him if they read this and put 2 and 2 together with the similarities? I dunno maybe not

Despite this being an anonymous forum on the TOR network,
if they reckon you've been buying drugs on the internet,
then they come on these forums and see you talking about it straight away,
they now know a fair bit about what you've been doing.

I have no idea about how it would stack up as evidence, but personally I'd think about editing some of your posts.

What d'ya reckon mate?

Lay low for a few months as far as ordering stuff. I've had quite a few orders (not bulk) delivered to my house in the past year. However, I also order 3-6 books through the mail as well, most from ebay or amazon, but some from Europe (Springer - fancy academic books). I've ordered stuff from Russia from ebay (postage stamps, I collect them). The letter had Cyrillic writing on them, hopefully this has them wondering. Once several years back I ordered a quarter of weed from the Netherlands, and it arrived with Custom's Green Tape on it, and a note inside saying something to the effect "your package contained a contraband substance under a certain amount, and that it was confiscated. The second part of the letter (it was a form letter with check boxes) had statements saying something like "You've ordered contraband over 1 OZ and that you will be getting a visit, blablabla", but that part wasn't checked. I got no visit, and I wasn't really concerned. Like the person a couple of posts above, just deny, deny, deny. It isn't illegal to receive shit in the mail as anyone could have sent it to you without your knowledge. And whoever said that the pigs will lie in order to trick you into incriminating yourself are telling the truth, so don't tell the fuckers anything.
Sonething that has me wondering, though - a neighbor about 4 houses down from me has the same initials in his name, and his house number has the same digits as mine although it is a different number (I think he received some 2CB I had ordered. You may want to start ordering "normal shit like books or whatever through the mail just so that, if they are searching your mail, they will get tired of finding nothing. And if they actually arrest you, make them take you to court & prove it - force the already cash-strapped system to spend more money proving something that they probably don't have any evidence for. Most of all, don't worry a lot about it at this point.
Fuck the Man!! Power to the People!!

He said "we know your getting exctasy"... if that was what the recent pack was that never made it, then obviously that's what happened. As far as the name you ordered it in, that doesn't matter. They'd look up the name of the last person who lived there and, unless someone else moved in, that would be you.

And don't you think if it was sniffed out in transit they would've done a CD?
Maybe they planned to and the detective was there to scope it out first - and that's how he found out no one lived there and saw a neighbor was collecting the mail. I don't think even cops are dumb enough to think a controlled delivery would work at an unoccupied address.

Also, maybe mail yourself some inmarked packages with legit stuff in it - books, mags, CDs & DVD's, hell, buy a blender from Wal-mart & mail it to yourself.

Or, you can order one of these packages under "services" on this site - a package that ships from Moldavia or some other E. Eurpoean country that is pot-scented, but has nothing in it. It is apparently for the purpose of throwing off The Man. Just a thought, it is 3 or 4 BTC, so it ain't super-cheap.

Laying low is also a good idea, too.

Is it just me or....   I can't imagine a legit officer saying that on the phone and then making the watch out statement.    I mean I would think if they knew something they wouldn't give you a heads up, they would covert ops on you and wake you up in the middle of the night.      Idk Idk,  if the guy that told you and gave you the number was legit, then surely nobody is going that far to pose as LE, but it sounds like some rookie cop feeling cocky?    Just sounds stupid to me.         For sure I wouldn't do the same thing, and I would cool all things for a while, a good long while.

It starts with an innocent sounding inquery, then you end up in a little room with someone who pretends to be your friend. One old routine is aptly named "Good cop, bad cop." It is psycological warfare --they console you and make you think everything will be fine. They know you are a good person, that you did not intend to violate the law. If you just help them and tell the truth they will fight for your freedom.

Don't believe any of their bullshit. Their title is "law enforcement"  and ANYTHING you say can AND WILL be used against you.

Please don't believe this, people.

A detective does not tell you over the phone what the fuck they are after you for, are you fucking serious?

They don't give you time to make a liable plan when they want to catch you in the act and arrest you.

How would they know there is ecstasy in the package - if it was a real story, then you could easily get rid of all the pills and just say it was a new jumper or jacket that you were picking up, if they had actually caught you on camera.

They caught you on camera and want to ask you questions? Bullshit, if they had camera evidence that showed what was in the package, they would still need the pills to prove the were ecstasy.

Even if they caught you on camera opening the package and seeing thousands of pills, they can't prove it is ecstasy - you could just say it was candy.

This is either LE trying to scare people away from using the SR or it is just a stupid troll.

If this is real, which I highly doubt - get rid of the pills and deny everything.

Possibly even stick your computer that you use SR on to a friends house.

OK..I'm tired of trying to prove to you guys this is real..believe it if you want. The last pack that never made it was a bulk package from SuperTrips...and I'm not the only one that has a bulk package missing from this guy..a very reputable forum member almost had the same situation happen to him yesterday but I'm not going to mention any names. My very first purchase I didnt' pgp my address since I didn't know how to...and it was form ST... Also, a few months back I bought some Pure from that domestic vendor Gelatin (or something like that) he had the same gear as Rainbow Vomit..it was really strange ..after I put in my order with Gelatin..he just disappeared..no one ever heard from him again. It never looked like one of my packages were ever opened..cuz if they knew what was in them they would have done a CD. I never opened them in public so there's no way they have me on camera...and the cops are pretty stupid around here.No they never called me, I called them ..the detective left a card with my neighbor. He never said "watch out" he just said "good luck" Before he mentioned anything about "receiving drugs in the mail" he said "it seems like a lot of people are doin it" i think he said that i'm not sure...i thought he was going to say that I was selling heroin or something..he never said anything about ordering drugs online. just receiving xtc in the mail...i've also been getting weird blocked phone calls at random times.IDK if it has anything to do with it..but it's strange cuz once I pick up the phone they hang up.and they call at random times like 3 or 4 am actually all times of the day.It started happening at my old place..and then once I moved I changed my number and started happening last week. And I never use my house phone so none of my friends have my new house number. I know this story sounds crazy but it's true I have no reason to make any of this shit up. I love SR and fully Support it ..i'm just letting ya'll know that this shit really does happen and to be careful. It's my mistake cuz a lot of people know that I get shit from here or at least over seas.

For someone who says he isn't a troll, you sure do sound like 4chan.

Speaking of 4chan, everyone knows about 4chan. 4chan isn't cool.

Trying to scare people on here isn't cool, either.

If you really were called by some detective, the chances are that you are not actually the target.

They are trying to use you to get to the big fish.

No one wants to waste time with small fry.

I would lay low, use high-stealth packaging for those things you absolutely need.

After awhile, they'll lose interest in you.

#2 if they had anything you would have just been placed under arrest, nobody with proof just wants to ask questions.

Maybe not all detectives work the same way?

It is possible that ones of his friends got busted and gave up information of a "higher up" in hopes of getting a deal.  Hard to rationalize weeks of investigation based on a statement of a random drug user, but getting an easy confession?  why not.

I don't know if the story is true or not.  Doesn't much better really.  There's a lesson regardless: never talk.

agreed..

No idea if the OP is being honest or trying to scare people, but two important things to keep in mind:

Police can say anything they want to make you confess.

This is true in the US too. There's no law against the police lying to you. There IS a law against you lying to the police. It's always better to say nothing at all or "I would rather not speak without my attorney present" than "I don't know what you're talking about". Your lawyer is going to know how to handle the situation better than anyone on the internet, and they'll certainly be better at it than you.

Also, posting a thread like this will not incriminate you like some people seem to think (as long as you're accessing it over tor and don't have any keyloggers). There are over half a million law enforcement agencies in the US. Not only would all of them have to collaborate to make sure there was only one case that matched these details, they would also have to somehow prove you weren't just some random person who by chance made up a similar situation. Not going to happen.

This is not meant to be a statement about whether or not the OP is true. Obviously, that is something we will never know.

However, I know in the areas of the country where I have worked in underground markets, never has a cop called during an investigation and said, "we have blah blah on you so we need to ask you some questions." Every part of the country I have ever worked in, the suspect has zero notice, and the location is raided early in the fucking morning, like 4, 5, 6 am, to catch 'em off guard. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I have never seen or heard of a mid-day or evening drug raid, much less a cop calling and casually asking for more info.

That being said, I am not implying the OP is bullshitting. It may very well be that the cops got the info from a bust in another jurisdiction, or even just heard a rumor.  LE knows there is nothing they can do with it, and it would be damn hard, or even impossible, to investigate without any kind of hard evidence for warrants, etc. If that was the case, I could TOTALLY see some dickhead cop deciding to do this just to fuck with the dude and hope the op is dumb enough to spill his guts then and there.

The stories my lawyer tells me about what the cops do to try and trick his clients into talking never cease to amaze me.

No idea if the OP is being honest or trying to scare people, but two important things to keep in mind:

Police can say anything they want to make you confess.

Also, posting a thread like this will not incriminate you like some people seem to think (as long as you're accessing it over tor and don't have any keyloggers). Yeah but giving ANY details will narrow it down exponentially.
Lets just say I get a visit from the feds here in  Oz, because they found something in the mail..... They don't know if I'd actually ordered it and with me denying all knowledge, it's up to them to find out if I did...
If I was to come on the forums to share my experience  with my fellow free thinking adult silk road users,  the pigs could easily link the forum user to the drugs, especially if he/she gave away details of how many officers, time of day etc....  Of course this is not PROOF but in a smaller size town, it's enough to have those pig cunts make your life very fucking difficult.

Police can say anything they want to make you confess. At least it works this way in the Netherlands. They can say one of your friends already confessed (and even show you a fake confession letter). They can say they tapped your phone or whatever while this not actually being true. They can even say you don't have the right to get a lawyer. Of course when you demand one they will arrange one for you but they still can say that it's not possible. They are a bunch of worthless fuckers who should be worrying about other stuff than some drugs that make you have a great time.

Of course once you know all this it's also easy to get away with a lot of things. In most cases it's best to just don't say anything at all (or tell them to fuck off) and because they don't obtain any evidence this way, which they hoped for, they will have to let you go in no time and they will get back to eating donuts.

I wouldn't worry too much although I don't think it would be a smart move to use the same address again to order your favorite sweets. :)

They can't do that in the UK, or U.S as far as I know - if they were to build a case around a lie it wouldn't stand up in court.

If they were to say your best-friend or whatever had been arrested and will be charged if you don't admit it, in court you could turn round and say:

" He has been the person closest to me since I was 5, I was lying - I only said it because I would have much rathered do the jail time than see him do it."

It's pretty fucked how they can do that in holland though, LE are dirty ass-holes.

Exactly, Brut.

Nobody has ever said:

No idea about the UK, but in the US they absolutely can. The defense you mentioned wouldn't work at all. The only way a confession isn't going to bury you is if you're mentally unstable or they physically threatened/harmed you.

Seriously?

A decent lawyer could get you out of it over here, just call a couple of people to speak in court about how you are so loyal and what not and if there only evidence was you admitting it because they threatened to let your best friend rot in jail, it would probably be over-looked.

I don't know that much about actually being in a court, or being pressured with anything like this - let's face it, not many people on here really do, we say what is logical but how many people on here actually have a law degree?

Which brings us back to what we always say: "Don't say anything to the LE - Loose lips sink ships"

"They hung me by my own testimony." -- that's the money quote here.  The cops will do anything, say anything, to get you to make a confession -- that's primarily what they're after, to get people to condemn themselves out of their own mouths.  Like that YouTube video says: Don't Talk to the police, ever.

Like many have said, this was a classic fishing expedition.  Police simply don't interview criminals on the phone.

---

The detective picks up the phone, glances at his notes and dials: 212-887-7892.  The phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Yes, this is Detective Smith.  I know what you did.  You may as well admit everything."

"What?"

"Look, hit yourself once, will you?  Not so hard as to leave a bruise, just enough to scare you -- put you off balance."

"Uh, what?"

"You won't cooperate?  Interference with a police officer in his duty?  That's chargeable.  Aiding and abetting?  Oh yeah, also on the list.  Hell, I'm sure I can think of a few more."

"What?"

"Listen, just admit everything.  You may as well, we already know.  Heck, we have you on tape!  It will go very hard for you if you're the only one who didn't say anything."

"I, ..., uh, I.  What?"

"You sure you won't say anything?"

"I'm not, ..., that is I, ..., um, what?"

"So, that's how it is huh?  You're going to play the hardened criminal?  I was going to let you off, go easy on you.  Well, I tried.  Nothing I can do now.  We'll be watching you."

The detective sighs as he puts the phone down on the receiver.  He looks at the clock and sighs again.  It's still four hours until quitting time.  It might be crap work, and, sure, he lies to everyone he talks to, but it is for the greater good!  He's cleaning up society one degenerate at a time.

With this thought, he picks up the phone, glances at his notes and dials the next number: 212-887-7893.

The phone rings...
