Title: TAILS LIVE USB - Countdown Beeps + Screen Freeze/Shutdown
Post by: 3r3 on October 27, 2012, 10:18 am
First time using Tails Live USB and  on two separate sessions, I hear a few concecutive beeps spaced out 5 seconds apart, and then the screen freezes forcing a shutdown of the system.
It's not a battery issue as system is plugged into AC. This happens every time after using Tails live on USB for 10-15 minutes.

Is this a security feature or a bug? Please advise.

You really need to ask on the Tails site -- it's their code after all.  My first impression would have been that it was a video driver issue or something, but then I read that this happens after you've been up for 10-15 minutes, so obviously it's not that. For something this esoteric, you'v got to go to the source.

If you go to the Tails site and ask for help, don't use the same user id you've used on here. Once you've posted on the Tails site, you might even wish to abandon this Forum account and setup a new one to prevent any correlation attacks.
