my mate sent me a link to one of the threads in this site through facebook am i now on a watchlist

Doubtful. I suppose that, in one sense, it was no worse than using a search engine after reading about Silk Road on Gawker.  Technically speaking, accessing Silk Road, or the Forum, is not illegal (except in certain Muslim countries, perhaps).  Ordering contraband from Silk Road is quite a different kettle of fish altogether.

if he is idiotic enough to do that he will certainly get you in some shit eventually

thats not enough evidence to do anything, posting it would draw more attention to him, just because it was shared with you doesnt mean you were using SR

 i doubt they can watch everyone they know is on the forums... just delete the reference and keep everything secure from now on

By that logic I could send links to a million of my best friends and have them all 'watched' by the evil government. Lay off the conspiracy movies bro.
