Title: what GPG version is compatiable with mac mail/message 5.3? ADVICE NEEDED..!

right guys i have been trying to learn gpg as many vendors require it, it was also give me more choice and safety aswell...

i just cannot find a version compatiable with mac mail/message 5.3...

any help or advice would be great guys...

A lot depends on what version of GPGTools you're running.  The fact that you say you're using Mail disturbs me.... that implies that you are using a clearnet email account. Clearnet email accounts (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, Windows Live Mail, Yahoo!, etc.) should be avoided like the literal plague.  If you have to use email at all, use TorMail. You can set it up using Enigmail + GPG, as Captain Mal has already pointed out.

thanks i only realised this myself the more i have learned GPG, it takes a bit to get your head round if u have to teach urself...
