today at 12:00 pm a man with glasses, a beard, *** t shirtt, and jeans rang my door bell. said i have a package for*********** i said ok.. he handed me a red slip to sign i said no.. he said ok. took the slip with him! and left..
so i went to the post office twice to ask questions, thinking i over reacted.... this is what happened
Well it wasnt my usual postman and there was 2 blacked out (windows)suvs in my neighborhood (parked 2 houses up).. (odd because i basically live in a retirement community, there is a lot of old people)
1 hour later i went to post office and said i would like to see the package they said to come back at 4:30 you have to wait untill after there routes
... so i did. i walk back in and said " hey im here about a package i refused"
lady answered "where is the red slip you were supposed to sign.? "
i said he didn't give me it........
Then she said thats weird, and asked what he looked like, was it fed ex, what truck ect..
i told her jeans and a dr. pepper shirt driving a white delivery trucks.
she said where do you live?
i told her
she picked up her shirt and said "NO! "mikey" was on that route( i know mike, his mom is a teacher at the local high school), what time was he there?.
i said 12 o'clock .
then she said mikey left at 2:00....
she gave away the sting without even knowing about...
i am honestly so happy im not in jail..
*didn't give slip
*came at an un-ordinary time.
*asked me twice if i wanted to sign for it
*suvs
*mail office confirmed that it did not come from a mail man

Then consider yourself one lucky SOB and consider that address burned.

you have just linked yourself by the info you gave in here( dr pepper shirt etc) to your account name /physical location and the events around it,
if i were you ,i would edit my post and put in vague details ,
you know what i mean

Wow man that sucks, but at least you got away clean! If you don't mind saying, how big of a quantity did you order? I always hear that CDs are only for bulk orders and feds wont bother with personal use so I'm interested if that holds true for you as well.

approximately what was amount, bulk or small amount? I am curious too what quanities do they consider worth the time and expense for controlled delivery? Obviously dont say exact amount or product

she picked up her shirt you said. what does that mean? Mikey left where at 2? I think you're saying Mikey was on his normal route but he didn't show up to your house? Do you live in a house where you can see the mailman slowly driving by from one house to the next? What I mean is if you have neighbors the mailman would have delivered mail to them today so did you see him?
Also I saw in your other thread you ordered from the Netherlands. This is why I just do domestic only. That could be a big reason why someone showed up.

Seriously? Giving an approximate amount such as 100 grams or 3000 dollars is far less incriminating than the amount of details OP posted.

at this point i think its probably pointless to ask him anything. he's either arrested and his computer is now evidence... or he's crazy as hell and just refused his product for no reason, destroyed his computer, burned his house to the ground and fled to the woods to reconnect with nature. either way, i dont think he'll be around any more to answer incriminating questions

I would make that computer disappear and grind that hard drive to dust and distribute its ashes. If the delivery required it? Otherwise smoke a bowl and relax.

Go on the Lam for a while LE is probably all over your account and your house/car/IRLjob/family/friends/arrestrecord etc....

Too many info in that post. It was too easy to do 2 + 2.
People should really beware on the details they post. I can understand helping the community with the most specifics, but not to the point of the thing being detrimental for your security. Safety should always be at first place (and this is even for the community itself, not only on personal level).

Okay, but isn't that entrapment? That's almost like a putting a weapon in your pocket and then arresting you for having a weapon. What if you actually didn't order drugs and they had the wrong person, but you sign and take the package anyway because how are you supposed to know any better?

Getting a CD thrown out in court is very easy for all the reasons people have pointed out here. They only use the CD to get into your house and find other shit. Any good lawyer can get a CD thrown out for a number of reasons.
The biggest give away was the mailman not being dressed like a mail man...and honestly, I think many of the people posting here are overreacting. If they didn't take your computer right then, then they probably won't.
Local Law Enforcement does not have the manpower to hunt through some obscure online forum for some guy revealing evidence. SR is not the only place people can get drugs online, and on top of that people have been receiving drugs in the mail since the mail existed, long before SR even was thought about.
Unless you're buying hundreds of pounds coke or insane quantities like that in single transactions, then it is highly unlikely a federal task force is going to comb the internet searching for evidence of you. Most small packages being received on SR(1-5lbs of product is small) are not worth the time of federal agencies, and they forward such cases to Local LEO. Local LEO don't have the man power, funding, or TIME to hunt the dark corners of the internet to catch some guy who ordered a couple of thousand dollars worth of drugs.
For all I know OP did not even order that much.

Can anyone shed more light on this aspect? If it is true I am very pleased. I would much prefer to deal with local LEO if something goes wrong on personal use purchases because of laws in my state.

i believe that a controlled delivery is usually their method of obtaining a search warrant for the property so they can search for other illegal items inside the house. it should be easy enough to beat a case of just a package in the mail, but if theyve got you for a package in the mail and a half pound inside the house or an illegal firearm or whatever you may have laying around, well then theyve built a very substantial case.

this isnt the 90's where a big bulky recording device and battery would be taped to a person chest like in the old cop movies. we live in the age of digital revolution. how big is your cell phone? a recording device or wire in todays world could be as tiny as a button on a shirt or even smaller, and could be made to appear like pretty much anything. hell just do a search on amazon for spy gear to get a basic idea of what even an amateur can obtain with very little struggle. the only way to completely ensure that you are not recorded saying something incriminating is to not say anything incriminating in the first place.

you don't sign for a package that has your name and address on it, but then goto the post office to get it.....you get arrested the next day....the proof is going to the post office asking for your package again.... no need to sign for it, they can just start monitoring you to see what else comes and build a case.....the guy was paranoid and just left his shit at the post office...lol.
