Title: Holy FUCK People
Post by: anarcho47 on November 08, 2011, 03:38 pm
I'm seeing about 5 new topics a day about "Moneypak to BTC trouble" and bullshit like this.

I don't understand why everyone is rushing on the moneypak train when it is literally like printing fucking money for these scammers.  What you sweat and bleed for they take in three seconds because you want fast BTC.

The major BTC exchangers have made it ridiculously easy to get BTC fast.  You can walk into any Chase branch with cash in the morning and an account deposit form you fill out from MtGox, and by afternoon in 95% of cases your BTC are sitting there waiting for you.  In Canada, Cavirtex offers the same through RBC and CIBC.  Hours of waiting, that's it, and you aren't paying a 10% - 30% premium.  No ID required, just print off a damned form and take a drive like you were going to  do to get a moneypak anyway.

I'm sick of this bullshit with all of you getting ripped off.  It's retarted.  Scammers are giving you NOTHING for your money.

I want you flush with BTC and perusing my listings, not licking your wounds from dickless-fuck scammers.  Use the appropriate channels - you can't tell me that a time-premium of a few hours or even a day is worth $100 - $lots of your money gone bye bye.  Let's be rational about this.  I have weed and cyans I want you to buy, after all....

+1

Made a deposit to their bank account, called Cavirtex and they credited the money to my Cavirtex account.

Purchased BTC from them and had it transferred to my SR BTC account.    It arrived there in 1 hour.   All done through their website.

Painless and very easy.

I'll add that get-bitcoin.com is amazingly easy and fast, and better than flushing your coin down the toilet any day. I just waltz right into wells fargo and do the cash deposit, and in a matter of hours have coins in my wallet, all for only a 5% charge.  No questions asked. You don't need to give them your name, ID, or anything.  Nobody cares about your mug on a closed-circuit camera for a deposit.  Plus, speculating in the bitcoin market is perfectly legal.

I'll vouch for Cavirtex (Canadian Virtual Exchange). Walked into a Royal Bank, made a bill payment to their account, provided them with the necessary information (cavirtex account # and bill payment amount) and had my money available later the same day. They charge a .59% service fee ($0.59 per $100)

I agree, this needs to be stickied in the forums and the buyer's guide.

If you must use moneypak, use it over at bitcoin-OTC.  They have a much better system in place for these kind of transactions.  As Anarcho said, buying bitcoins on SR is basically signing a check to MR. SCAMMER.

There are scammers out there for sure, but I have dealt with both SumYunGai and Sugar Mama and they are really friendly and helpful. Not saying the exchange isn't better elsewhere, but I'd rather pay the fee than walk into a Federally Insured Financial Institution and trade large sums of $$$ into the currency everyone in LE knows people buy illicit goods with.

Just my thoughts, you are welcome to your own of course.
