im in the process of a purchace and follow how to use PGP to send messages but the receiver is not able to read them
for some reason. can someone post a link to a tutorial or help explain it to me?

Did you remember to include their public key when encrypting? If not, that's probably the reason.
Otherwise read through the various tutorials in the Security section. You should read everything that is a stickied topic anyway.
